get a good MBA first... its like this: MBA only ->good MBA + PRM,CFA,FRM ->better PRM,CFA,FRM only -> no value...(0.01 % chance someone makes a career with only these certifications, since most MNC IBs,Banks etc would first ask you for an MBA). hope it helps.

For the PRM exam do read from the handbook only, you can read only a few parts from FRM Schweser notes as the contents of FRM and PRM are quite different. The material covered by PRM is much wider than what is covered in FRM, hence depth is required for clearing the exam. In PRM you can get any question under the sun. And I would say without a Finance Background like a MBA finance or something similar, it becomes very difficult to prepare. I would suggest, read the PRM handbook thoroughly, And keep revising, you might have to read the handbook 3 times to have crystal clear concepts

According to me the handout is more than sufficient for Exam 1. No need to refer any text for this exam atleast.

gkrm
Congrats gkrm ! So did you give all the 4 exams in one go?
Yes PRM handbook is exhaustive. But my impression was that it was overwhelming and not very systematic. So to begin with, I referred to Schweser notes for FRM and FRM handbook. Once that was done,I referred back to PRM handbook about the topics that were not covered in FRM material. In case you are comfortable with PRM handbook right from the beginning, that's great although I personally felt that FRM material is more user-friendly.
