#newbie
As we have 10 in 70 and in 35 or 55 has 5 and you have 2 in 56,44...
This will make the factors of 100 whic make the end digits 00
or
in clinical approach
you may take the reminders of 100 from each and make the solution
-33*-44*-29*-45*-30*35*44
Taking factors and finding te reminder by grouping them to be near to 100
can anyone lemme knw whts the shortest way to find last two digits of an expression like
67*56*71*55*70*35*44
This is answered earlier.
Anser is and the method is the same as the reply
what will be the 28383rd term of series:123456789101112.........
a)3,b)4c)5d)6
9*1+90*2+900*3=2889
28383-2889=25494
when divided by 4 , 25494 gives , quotient 6374 and remainder
so the 28383 term of the series will be 2nd digit of the 999+6375=7374
so the term is 3
Yaar Imlex..can u be more clear..i coudnt get u????
Sure..
for 1-9 only one digit
10-99 ,90 terms 2 digits each 90*2
100-999.900 terms with 3 digit 900*3
Need more explanation?
ashwinrulz SaysYaar Imlex..can u be more clear..i coudnt get u????
so we need to find 2^53%10
2^5%10 is 2
((2^5)^5)^2*2^3
2^5%10=2

54. find the remainder when 50^51^52 is divided by 11.
a)6 b)4 c)7 d)3
Please explain the answers guys....

EN for 11=10
51^52=(50+1)^52 .. therefore gives remainder 1 on dividing by 10
N=50^51^52=50^(10k+1)
so remainder is 50 as 50^10k gives remainder 1
so final remainder is 6
option a
Please can you elaborate. I didn't get you. And what is EN ?

53 a) I have another method.
Now you must know that
say if rem of N/x = R
and a and b are factors of x. And rem of N/a = r1 and rem of N/b = r2
then rem of R/a is also r1 and rem of R/b is also r2.
Now the sum.
128^1000 = 2^7000 = N
and 153 = 9 * 17
Now N/9 = (2^3)^2333 * 2/9
rem = -2 = 7
rem of N/17 = (2^4)^1750/17 = 1
Now search the options. Find such a number R such that rem of R/9 = 7 and R/17 = 1
only 52 matches the criteria
50^51^52%11=========>-5^51^52 5^2=25%11=3, 5^3=125%11=4
4*3=12%11=1
so
-5^51%11====>-5
-5^52%11====25%11===>3

Nos with 1 digit = 9
Nos with two digit = 99 - 9 = 90
Nos with three digit = 999 - 99 = 900
So total digits upto 999 = 2700 + 180 + 9 = 2889
Remaining = 28383 - 2889 = 25494
So the numbers with four digit until the 28383rd term = 25494/4 = 6373 Remainder 2
So 999 + 6373 = 7372
So 2nd term of nest number 7373 = 3
Answer ---- 3
Hope this is correct

In the solution above, why did you add 999 with 6373 .

Buy "Quantum CAT" by Sarvesh Kumar Verma ; "Arihant Publications".
This book is far better than Arun Sharma and Abhijeet Guha.
When you are through with Sarvesh Kumar..........feel free to grind through Arun Sharma.
All right.. just read the "preface" of all three books with some book shop.
The last thing => every question is solved in Verma !
good luck

The question u have asked for is
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt x+2 (sqrt x+2 (sqrt 3x))))=x
This is easy..for these kind of questions just go by the options..
the option u get after taking the value of x=3 will give u the answer as 3..
try substituting..
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt x+2 (sqrt x+2 (sqrt 3(3)))))=x
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt x+2 (sqrt x+2 (sqrt 9))))=x
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt x+2 (sqrt x+2 (3))))=x
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt x+2 (sqrt 3+6)))=x
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt x+2 (sqrt 9)))=x
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt x+2 (3)))=x
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt 3+6))=x
(sqrt of x+2(sqrt 9))=x
(sqrt of x+2(3))=x
(sqrt of 3+6)=x
(sqrt of 9)=3
Hope its clear now :)!
