All i would suggest you to put more efforts at gd/pi stage...
Also since you're of 24 years of age, so i guess you must be carrying work-ex (>2years, i guess so)..., if you have workex, then you must be carrying an engg. degree, and if engg. background, then you must be having good academics....(all these factors will contribute later, in the final score)
Rest, check your PM box.

Seems they got to know, that we've cracked the code....and are trying to trace the cut-off by judging it from the ppls responses (snap score n merit number wise)..:-p
and seems they got to know of it (thru SIMS seniors at PG)....
Indeed, it's a good step...because those who haven't checked their results yesterday, would check now, and won't be dissapointed to see that they're low in the order of merit....else they'll be under pscyhological pressure, if say somebody is ranked beyond 400 in the merit.
So, that everybody would perform equally well in gd/pi...
Those who've seen their position in the merit list, need not to worry, because this is entirly based on SNAP score only... it doesn't include your acedemics,graduation subjects (engg/mngmnt/cmmrc etc.) extra curri, workex.....means it doesn't truely represents your merit.
INFO: Those who are new to this thread may ask for their rank, on the based of SNAP score, if they wish..(PM me ur NAME/SNAP ID)...

hi roma, me praveen also from indore. ur 6th in industry sponsored list n when compare it with defence open near about 95-105 rank as im at 87th with 63.25 in snap.also im in 1st group of seven to attend PA .i think u should tak a look at SIMS GDPI 2009-11 OUT forum for more info............all the best

I couldn't find you in any of the lists.
Since Most of the SIMS call getter have snap score 52~57, and they don't have any other good option besides SIMS. So SIMS is in their top priority list. And those who converts the GD/PI call, prefer not to leave the seat.
Hence the conversion ratio is kept lower i.e, (GD/PI) call getters/No' of seats (eg 501 ppls called against 240 seats in Open Defence).
But owing to the weak market conditions, i see good chances of ppls postponing their MBA Plans. Like worex ppls, because they can come again next year, and would have more waightage in terms of +1 year of worex gained. May be they can call for more ppls (personal opinion only) for gd/pi process.
You may contact the admission office periodically to check the possibilty.
Moreover, since you're fresher, don't loose hope, you can come next year with better preparation...and then you can have some more prospects, other than SIMS.
