in most surveys and leading b magazines comparisons have been made b/w SIBM and icfai, hyd
i think its not fair enough to compare icfai, hyd and SIMS since both r gd in their own respects
in the current rankings symbiosis has dropped from its last year's position of 5th to 6th
and icfai,hyd has dropped from 10th to 12th
it is a general view that 1 should select b/w icfai and SIMS according to the specialization wanted
rest i think the SIMS is the best option for defence junta in every respect
by the way i remember some of the SIMS seniors on the day of the intrvw(on 5th feb in delhi) like Sweetie ma'am(my group teamleader) and several others whose names i could not get to knw--------------plz get in touch with us

U mentioned Lehmann Brothers and JP Morgan in your post about the placements scenario. Any idea what profile they offered and looked for?
And any more info abt the dual program which they had till last year
Is the dual program still on? Or one can choose a specific specialisation this year?
Any idea on marketing placements?
Also, it was mentioned in the clip/movie of sims that highest national package was 8Lakhs and international was 12Lakhs....some details about companies which offered these?
@ others w.r.t ICFAI: Im sure u can see the threads about ICFAI Hyd and make ur decision based on that rather than have posts comparing icfai with sims on this thread. Another suggestion is not to take these ranking things too seriously....more often than not - they are manipulated.
And did any of u apply to A.I.M ....cant seem to find a thread abt that......i happened to get a call letter today....dont think i'll go for the gd/pi tho.
And did any of u who had SCMHRD calls...convert it?

1. I got call from the top three XAT institutes..i hope i can convert them.
2. I also applied 2 the A.I.M. Kolkata, havent got the call letter letter as yet but my gd/pi is scheduled 4 the 6th of april. Going or not, havent decided as yet.
3. SCMHRD..cudnt convert..that was a big blow as my gd/pi had gone well..
Time 4 some serious introspection now..
4. Thanx 2 seniors who keep dropping their valuable comments once in a while.
Rest is fine as of now..

I have been missing quite a lot of action going on in the thread though seeing the posts, I can conclude that the apprehension on the SIMS result that is going to be out in less than a week from now is getting to everyone.......I had gone down to HYD for the ICFAI interview and I got MUMBAI, the frst preferenace that i had filled......though wasn't really too impressed to see the state of affirs there and the quality of people who had turned up.....really hope that 1st of march has some good news in store for me so that I really dont need to even think abt IBS MUMBAI....as it is the fee for 2 yrs there is 5.46 lacs...thats just criminal....in any case any comments or info that anyone of u can provide me with abt IBS Mumbai will be highly appreciated.......PM me............
Had my NIRMA interview yesterday and they took my case left right and centre....that was the frst stress interview that I had faced.....lets see wat happens.....
now have my MICA interview on the 26th i.e. Sunday.....so preparing for that and also praying hard for the SIMS result.........

The rankings u quoted here "MAY BE" correct. but do not read much into them as they are all the same and the B-schools only give u the advantage of your first job, rest is up to you. many SIMSites have been placed in good companies and promoted earlier than others in their respective fields. SIMS has created a foothold in the top management of many companies, so I would advice you to go by your best judgement and rely on your gut feeling. Believing in these rankings totally may prove to be dissapointing.

Sometime I really feel stupid when u guys talk abt so many calls with u frm some of the best institutes.
But its good that even pagals r so intelligent

well i was out of action due to the maharashtra cet examination....i mean jus preparing for it...& was jus checking out the post...first of all i would like to thank our seniors who r always guiding us & are contantly in touch with the ppl out there...thank u very much....i know tht the situation is really so confusing for ppl who hav got call from other institutes tooo but if i was there i would have still gone for sims.....as the days are nearing the anxiety level is going like bombay's temperature.......i hope each one of us get through...lets jus pray for the best ........wel i have kept my fingers crossss.....:) .....all the best to every one....

its great to know that sims is ur first priority. secondly i sincerely hope u have given ur best shot. its just a matter of a week for ur results i know its easier said than done . we were in the same situation last time anyway all i can say i best of luck for ur results and enjoy urself till the time result dont come out.

Well no one is authorised to comment upon the timings of result (infact, seriously no one knows dat). Hopefully and in all probabilities result will be put on the website on march 1 2006 itself..
We plan to put the link here on Pagalguy too.

I can sense that everyone's really tense about the results that are expected soon......The long wait will finally be over soon.......As for the time the results will be displayed, I guess that it will be put up aby abt 3 in the aftrenoon....and as far as the results getting delayed really dnt think thats gonna happen cause if you visit the website,it says that result will be out on the 1st march......
I had my MICA interview yesterday and I believe that it went quite well......my fingers are crossed....as for now though have all eyes set for SIMS......praying and hoping hard that I make it..........

have been out of action since long... my comp had crashed and am myself at the verge too....man i am sweaty, apprehensive and doubtful.....i have analysed my interviews in dreams and reality and hope n pray the team tat day had decided for my candidature.....
