When is the Rankwise Merit List coming out?
What is the Fee structure?
How much has to be paid before 30th March?
Do we have come to SIMS personally or send DD by Post/Courier?
Any certificates/Documents to be submitted now?
Do we have to take some TEST to enter SIMS now?
What will be in this TEST?What is it?Elaborate plz.
Do we need to have a Laptop?Is it part of the fees?Do we pay for it?If we already have it,then do we get some part of fees exempted?Any Discounts?
Which is the Best Bank to take the Education Loan?Does SIMS have tie-up with any specific Bank ?
Is the Hostel on 'first come first 'basis?Do we have a choice on the room we want?

hey sonal n all the 2008 batch guys ...feel free 2 throw ur queries on me ...we r here for helping u out. sonal some answers 2 ur questions r here 1. As far as we know there won't be any rankwise merit list in near future u guys pay the feess first(hahaha...) 2. fee structure is given on the prospectus....for furthue details contact college authorities between 10am & 5 pm. 3.the same answer applies...it's on the propectus....individual call letter have been dispatched to ur addresses with all furthur details. 4. u don't have 2 come 2 sims personally...u can send DD through post.....ONLY DD R ACCEPTED...NO CASH OR CHECK... 5.NO certificate r reqd now...just the DD will do.. 6.NO more tests... 7.again no test ....what to elaborate. 8.LAPTOPS r not compulsary.....u can get laptop or desktop on ur wish(it will be convinient for u) u can get laptop thru collegeby paying extra.... 9.all the banks r almost same.....most of us have taken it from SBI or PNB. SIMS has a tie-up with ANDRA BANK. 10. HOSTEL is compulsary...no first come first serve....no choice as well.....atleast initially. 11.uniforms will be provided by college (u need 2 pay extra for it....no choice) gals need 2 carry 10-12 saree...n guys formal full sleeves shirts n formal trousers with ties. 12. no need 2 carry study material....everything will be provided by institute (no extra fees). 13. loads of them....can't count... 14. it's ur job 2 gather info. ours 2 give...keep throwing queries....

Now help me guys like should I approach local SBI branch for loan , wat do we need frm INSTITUTE so that bank will sanction my loan and wats the duration I mean lead time (technical terms) to receive the cash.
Also how many students actually get admitted in the institute.
Last but not the least where is my prospectus plzzz.
Well guys, don't mistake me ...... but is there anyone who may be joining some other college after getting in through SIMS? Coz I am in waitlist and just want to see what is the probability that I will be in. Ofcourse it would be much easier if I knew what my waitlist number also was. Guess I will know for sure only on March 30th when the fees has to be paid but again the agonizing wait ??:.

rocky well u've a typical case, it's better 2 approach local branch for loan after u receive the official letter from the college which has already been dispatched,,else u need 2 cum down 2 pune if u want the loan thru college tie-up ie frm Andra bank,, it's better 2 get a prospectus from a frnd now...sorry frm our part for the inconvinience....
hiiii!! well i have few queries tooo.i hope all the seniors can reaaly help us out tooo..... 1.well,can you be specific with the details about the fee structure.plzz iam throughly confused as i cant find my prospectus.well will they be sending some confirmation by post.... 2.wat are the initial installment which is supposed to be paid before 30th march. 3.r the money supposed to be paid in cash ,check or DD? 4.i dint get the idea about getting 10-12 sarees.for wat...????i mean r the girls suppose to wear formals too...saree i mean not the uniform.. 5.wen r we suppose to take up the hostel since the 16th june is the day wen the session is gonna start. 6. r there enough capacity for both guys & gals.i mean are there any students who has taken up hostel? 7.so laptops are not compulsory??? i guess i cant think of something more.....maybe i will remember someother time...... but ppl do help us out of this very confusing situation.
hey deeya, don't worry ...here r some answers which might help u out.... 1. Don't panic if u've not received ur prospectus.....official letters have been dispatched at ur address along with all the details abt fees and accomodation. 2. again the letter will have all the details. 3. Only DEMAND DRAFT will be accepted...NO cash or check. 4. u gals will have 2 wear sarees during the orientation...guys will have 2 wear formals with tie. Also the official dress for gals at SIMS is saree only so make a habit of carring urself with it. 5. It will be intimated 2 u thru the official letter only. 6. The course is fully residential...there is enough capacity for both guys n gals... 7. NO!!! laptops r not compulsary...but it'll be better if u carry a desktop or laptop with u as u guys wiil need it. take ur time Deeya in thinking abt more queries..... the situation is not as confusing as u think it is..
AND YA GUYS!!! IF U R PLANNING TO PURCHASE A NEW LAPTOP....DON'T HURRY.....COMPANIES LIKE HP & IBM COMES TO CAMPUS AND OFFER VERY GOOD DEALS i.e. with good discounts so make ur choice.....

ya this dress code goes everyday of the week.....n if u think u guys have it easier than gals then just think abt being in fullsleeve shirts with ties whole day....even in june n july...
:wow: thank you very much for clearing the doubts.but dear seniors i have heard tht the hostel facilities are on the basis of first come first serve is tht true??? last doubt .....so tht i mean for no reason i was worrying...thank u very much for clearing the doubts...wellll the excitment level is so high to join the institute the waiting period is also difficult to manage...can u plzz tell us how was ur first day in the college......i mean u guys must be stil remembering it...so i think ppl out here who are joing the coll would love to know ur experience also.....it would be gr88 if u can share it with us.....:)
hi guys, I m also in..Now,I m relieved of all my tensions.It really feels alot better and I can now say ki sabr ka fal bohut mitha hota hai....Anyway,thanx for all PGites for their co-operation and also thanx to all the seniors for posting their valuable information and timely updates..Now that all of us are gonna become batchmates so I guess all of us should know each other better..So,plz post in more about u......atleast till 16th june..So, that when we meet each other we dont have to introduce ourselves And yes,Its better if we stick to this thread itself...It wud be easy for us and also we wont miss anything..Congrats to all fellow batch mates....hip hip hurrayyyyy :grab: :grab:
