hey guys........so vots goin on??? first of all sicere apologies for not posting of late...... but now u guys r finding the answers to ur queries among urself.... so it's good in a sense... well good queries by digi ...i'll try 2 give u some leads here......
1. the orders from u guys will be taken around 40-45 days after u join the institute ... n delivery in another 12-15 days.
2. if u guys have a navy blue suit then get it ... u won't have 2 pay for the suit then....otherwise get any suit for the time being......
3. yes u'll get confirmation along with the study material u receive.
4. well expences depend person to person.....but resonable person can get along well in about 2000-2500 per month....it's my calculation.....but again it depends individual to individual.....i mean i spend abt 4k's my 1 frnd spend 7k's & some people manage even in 1500.....
5. everything about ur submissins will be communicated to you through letter along with the study material. but whatever it says .... just do it.....u guys might have to go through some tests as soon as u come here on those topics.....so prepare well..
6. yes the library is big enough, actually huge to accomodate all SIMSITES....

lemme tell u that i had visited pune and ofcourse SIMS...
ok ok
these r few finding and answers to the queries....
1.WAIT LIST: well i did see the main list and the person who was asking abt the no. of wait listed candidiates should relax as there r only 20 wait listed people.
2.BANK: see guys any bank will do but hdfc atm is the closest.
3.LAPTOPS: Well very necessary as now a days the time tabl;e and assignments are on the net.42 thousand was the cost last year.
4.HOLIDAYS: a big no. no holidays during the semesters.
5.DRESS CODE: guys plain shirts not even check with formal pants. and girls will have to wear sarees for initial 4-5 months( thats what those guys say)
6.MONTHY EXPENDITURES: well i varies from 3000-5000/-
7.sports : although swimming, badi and health club is in the campus itself but for people who r playing freaks like me will have to get the army club pass made for sqush and tennis.
8.BOOK: we dont have to buy.
9.ROOMS: REALY GOOD. three seaters and attached bathrooms.
10.AICTE APPROVAL: next 5 months and subsequently deemed
university.
11.placements: avg. 5.4 lacs hight 14 lacs in bagdad and lowest 3.2 lacs
12.PUNE: very young city... awesome...
13: MY EXPERIENCE: too toooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good and lovelllllllllllly
14. i met tribha, lovely meeting her.
15. RAGGING: lots of ragging but not physical.
16. about sims: well if u say symbiosis in pune people only know sims ... no scm no siib .... i was surprised but sims is considered the best college there. and i took 3 drafs for siib and scm and sims. afer analysing sims rocks in pune atleast.
17. SENIORS::: VERY VERY VERY VERY VERY HELPFUL. SPECIL THANX TO ALL SENIORS AND ALSO MANDEEP JOSAN..
18: LIFE: ONLY ONE WORD ROCKSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
FOOD: pathetic. so offences please but being north indian i would give food 2 out of 10. buut i may be wronge as i just had 2 meals there.

Long time no post simply didnt had anything gr8 to share.Tommorrow(29 MAR) saurabh and myself visiting SIMS so wanna know anything then please let us know.
As far as SIMS it surely rocks and even people joining it are so enthusiastic abt it including myself that we cant wait till july:neutral:.
LAPTOP- would b consulting seniors out there tommorrow as far as configuration and for the best buy I guess it would b on campus .
It has really been nice experience with all the batchmates:) and ofcourse with seniors till now and I am sure next two yrs would b really fruitful.
I would love to see the library,hostel and ofcourse the gym.
And of cousre sachandeep is rite even I consulted few of my local pune frends abt symbiosis and they knew only SIMS coz of its superb infrastructure.
As far as ragging it does happen and its the best way to get to know u r seniors coz in MBA the most important learning is networking and a strong bonding has to b developed not only with peers but also with seniors

Some stuff that I found out...
Well, the lady in office told me that we can come a day earlier than the date of reporting mentioned in the letter. No sooner than that.
Secondly, spoke to a senior about the dual programme. He said its very much there. So I don think we have to worry about it.
Thirdly, I dont think we have to wear only saris in the first 4-5 months. Cos I was told that saris are worn during the orientation process, which lasts for about a month, and afteer that, only on all the formal occasions.
And lastly, it seems theres this crazy amount of competition between SIMS and SIBM students... especially during the placement season. both the colleges try their best to out do the other. hehe... sounds like fun.
Anyway... thats all that I could gather.

Alrite as tirbha says jus a month of saris...well tats a relief....4 5 months wud be too much to handle.... and compt with SIBM ...sounds healthy ....gud for students of both colleges....

plz guys donot plan 2 come before the joining date...... try 2 be on the date n time u r communicated 2 come....... keep aside what the office mam says....ppl planing 2 come by train especially from delhi ----- book ur tickets ASAP as there r only 2 trains n they r invariably full....
Competition with SIBM??? well we compete with everybody when it comes 2 placements..... but when it comes 2 SIBM it could be anything from football--> cricket--> fashion show--> quiz--> or be it n-e thing ,,,,,,,,

ppl the whole campus is wi-fi enabled.......... even if u dig a 15 feet hole & sit there ....u'll get connectivity.... so don't worry abt it, the institute pays a lot for this facility....u'll get it newhere till ur in the campus.... n also the whole pune city is go'in 2 be wi-fi enabled in couple of months time (world's first wireless city; a dream project) so u'll get it ne where in the city.... some parts of city r already wi-fi zones.......... so chillax....

see i went to the institute and actually got alot of info. but guy i cant write it all so anyone who is having queries please put up as i might be knowing the answer since its not striking in my mind.
WI FI: ok lemme tell u that its every where in the campus. hostels, parking areas and simply everywhere.
LIFE ON CAMPUS: well someone asked this too, so the answer is that i was there on sunday and monday. i had done to a hill top with one of the seniors and his friends. its a total fauji enviornment and open too. people rock there.
CLUB: well there is a club of sims. they have swimming pool , gym , basketball court aand badi court(i didnt see it) .. there r some dance classes for dance lovers too.
OUR BATCH: well guys i have personally met nitya, tribha, chitra, shruti,chetan and many more people .. buds i can tell u all are really really nice and happening ... we will enjoy if all r like that...
ABOUT ME: some one asked this too. ok i told u abt myself in one of the old posts. u can find more abt me from all the people i just mentioned.well guys u can call me "bunny" or "sachu" or "s.d"( as all of my present engg college mates call me)
