Case Study : some ruf nd tuf co. come under the central government nd now employees not workin properly and production has come down.....
so ur the the manager, wat would u do????
good inputs frm everyone in the grp.....
guys plz dont create a fish market, they like it when everybody gets an equal chance to speak.... nd at the end everybody would be given time to conclude.......
well now intrvw 2 rounds....
1st rnd : about yourself, why MBA, hobbies...i said singing so i was made to sing nd i ended up as some good entertainment for the panel.....
well now they asked which spec.????
i said marketing...
so now they kept a pen infront of me nd told me to sell it to them....
was able to convince them eventually....
well other q's : why sims????? what will u give to the college as an individual...

2nd round : 2 guys both alumnus of sims....

saw my snap scores nd commented that the GA nd GK scores were low nd asked what are u doing about it???? i answered reading more etc etc....
why marketing...
then tried to test me by saying that u shld lower ur expectations.... to which i objected....
then said we are hungry, u may leave... thank u....
welll thats my experience, hope it is of some help..... waitin for march 4th...

none on acads... im an engg.....
but sum people were asked but only basics nuthin deep... so dont worry guys... just be confident..... nd im sure well all make it!!!!!

went to the Army public school at 12 pm. mine was afternoon SIMS students were there to organise everything for us ... all the batches went to a hall where they showed us there presentation. and they told us about all the events that will happen.
then first thing was psychometric test. followed by a essay.
then we went for GD ... 11 people ... and 2 mods. it was a case study. 15 min gd. case study was not that tough ... but there were 2 guyz and 2 ladies who made it a fish market..... then
there was the first PI with a panel of two people... it was rocking .... again the same questions
why MBA? why not some other course? blah blah blah..... gave all answers and convinced them
then they asked questions on work ex. ......................................then hobbies and questions on it........ general knowledge.......................... gave all answers..................
then there they gave me a situation..... if u are left on a island for a month what would u do wat would u feel.........blah blah blah..........
followed by a second interview with a different panel again .... two people..... this time it was tougher and they really made me feel uncomfortable.... still gave all answers... was grilled on work ex.... about personality.... etc............ my A** was really rogered.....
thats sit......... overall a gud experience..... cant say about selection.

topic for essay was about ourself ......also they each and every document... that we have sent to them and they were luking at them

yeah well me exp was pretty normal except few things which people might be interestdd in... they asked this question.. there is this bar... a guy walks in ..asks d bartender to get him a glass of water.he goes ..gets him a glass o water.. the guy shoots the bartender... why?

n rest was normal.. abt gk .all .. lil bit o acads...
then substantiate ur qualities with examples.... i said i am creative .. so they asked me to make a card for them .. with whatever i cud find on their table...

hey seniors .....
can you people tell us how much u paid as first intallment in the college .... because after final selection is out they have given only 15 days to deposit the first installment... but nothing is mentioned on the website about how much we got to pay(first installment).... it will not be easy for us to arrange a huge amount ... in such a short notice
hi puys.....long time no posting.....tied up with work.Luckily made it to the GD/PI on 7th at Bangalore. My batch was scheduled for 11.15.They started on time with a general presentation about the college and all was good except the Audio in the movie clip ( everybody seemed to have a squeaky voice!!!!!).Soon we had a Essay to write about SELF EVALUATION and Achievements......and followed by Psychometric Test in which we had to give TWO options of each Question and we had to rank/preference between 0 and 5 marks but the catch was that the sum of two rankings had to add up to 5!!!!
Then we had a GD case study about a Steel Mill engg having trouble with worker and charge sheeting him......trade union coming into picture...management asking Engg to withdraw the charge .......engg not ok with the idea....on the whole a good discussion ofcourse with some fiery arguments..but WE DIDN't come to a conclusion/solution.
TWO rounds of PI .mostly Personal questions and work related Qs asked( 3 years of work Ex)................
