can you people tell us how much u paid as first intallment in the college .... because after final selection is out they have given only 15 days to deposit the first installment... but nothing is mentioned on the website about how much we got to pay(first installment).... it will not be easy for us to arrange a huge amount ... in such a short notice
I inquired with the admin dept at SIMS. The first installment is of 98k which is to be paid by 20th march, next is around 30k by july and the last is of 20k by oct.

Hi spirited, Guess your spirits are high as the D day or shall we say the R (esult) day is fast approaching. Yes multiple calls do make it a bit difficult to make up ones mind...but then don't you think thats a better situation to be rather than NO calls!! And to come to think about it i guess In the End its all what you want to do in life and how you feel an Institute would Aid us in achieving that.The easiest way out I believe get in touch with seniors of the various Institutes and get their opinion about the INSIDE STUFF, that gives a clears picture about the College....thus helping us out in taking a call. Regarding LAPTOPS as been told earlier in the many posts, a computer or Laptop would definitely handy...(read Not compulsory)...but then its been said REALLY HANDY. But DESKTOP or LAPTOP its your own call. The senors who came down at the GD/PI told us that they would be helping us striking deals with the Hardware companies once we reach the Institute...i guess we could be in for a good bargain as the volumes would be high.

thanks mate for the post abt last date and amount that needs to be deposited at sims towards 1st installment. But was just a little confused as the prospectus page 27 reads that the amount of Rs 98,000/- and Due date as 30 March '07. Kindly confirm.
well according to their website and what they told me on the phone its 20th march. Since i still haven't received my prospectus copy i don't knw what is written in there. But on a safer side it'll be better if you take the last date as 20th march

well puys.....spoke to SIMS accounts people and they too seem to be not sure abt the last date well at least thats wat the lady i spoke to told me !!!!! As Alen has said i guess it would be safe to assume 20th as the last Date ...but no confirmation given whether its 20th or 30th March.
Seniors kindly pitch in ..... how many of you have availed Bank Education Loans for the MBA course at SIMS....which Bank have you all approached. Is there any MOU with some bank..........example Andhra Bank has a MOU with Institutions such as ISB, IIRM, BITS PILANI, BITS, BITS PILANI GOA, IPE, ICFAI, GOA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT, K J Somaiya Institute of Management Studies & Research) at 9% fixed.

01st Mar. 2007 : Declaration of merit list of Selected Candidates 15th Mar. 2007 : Last Date of Payment of Fees (First installment) 18th Jun. 2007 : Commencement of new session.

well atlast the confusion regarding the Last date of Payment of fee is done with.....but 1st Mar results and 15th the due date for fee payment is kinda tight situation ....cause other colleges wouldn't have come up with their final list......well i guess not other way out......... Anyways as Spirited has rightly pointed out we guys could get to know each other in the meanwhile. Mechanical Engineer 3+ work ex in Application Engg( Tech & Marketing) with INDO -Jap firm. X 84% XII-90% B.E.-80% ECA good Sports -good Loves Rock Music..but hates Aero Smith. thats a brief into abt myself.........................carry on fellas Later - Bharath
