Hi guys, had my gdpi in the afternoon today at 1.00. The whole process was "good", in the feedback form i've written about a few things they could have done better,according to me that is. got the oppurtunity to meet Raveesh singh as well, and it was a pleasant surprise that we share a few more things than our first name. I am hoping for the best (have high hopes here). lets see, waiting for march 1. Will be really really disappointed if i don't make it. till then Asta lavista..puys Nice meeting you Raveesh....hopefully will see you in SIMS in a not too distant future..will keep bugging you from time to time

i wrote snap this yr gettina score of 68..but i didnt apply to SIMS..( tot id act like a big hero...
) n ididnt make to SIBM /...!! nyz...my ques is how good is SIMS...?? is it worth applyin thr in my next try...?? are the placements pretty good..n does one get my options to choose from..??
hey guys,though am pretty late i guess....... but really glad to c a full fledged thread on simsam proud of u guys keep it goin u guys are doin great... also the seniors(IF Any CAuse i have not gonr thru the ntire thread) and me too was short listed and went thru the process of gd pi which was pretty eased out..my sis is also an alumni of sims and also for all you inquisitive souls the 15 lac(14.7 lac actually) thing is true there are quite a few of them who managed it, don ask me the source cause one of them is my seniors in AIT(army institute of technology), and trust me poeple that guy is a fresher,me working in infosys tech. as a software engineer for the last 7 mnths now.i could give u quite some insight into sims as my real sis is an alumni so guys i'd be glad to be of any helpif there are any seniors monitoring this threadplease tell me the weightage of the various things am very eager to know the same1.Snap Score2. GD/Pi3.both interviews
can any one please let me know of the future propspects of an HR course in SIMS in terms of the salary offered to the students.
well... i dunno bout the exact average and all for hr, but sims does offer 100 percent placements so ur sure of a job and i know one of the seniors in sims she passed out some two years back and made it to cognizant at that with a package of above 3 lacs for sure, am sure things are much better now in sims cause the same companies now are offerin around fifty percent more than what they used to two years back which is reflected in the ever increasing averages and this trend is not limited to sims but it is all over in the businees schools so u can weigh ur options and go ahead if u wan to.... in terms of pedagogy and faculty u can check the prospectus and compare it with other leading schools....

dude... am an engineer working with infosys for the last seven months and have done enough research on prospects of sims and i feel its a rare opprtunity for the defense junta and it is definitely worth it..
though u have not applied for it this time but make sure u d that next time and don be complacent if u got a respectable score this time... cause u never know what might happen next year... besides that what are the other options that u have..? do u have a job in hand..?
1. The placemnt average last year was 6.14 lacs
this year the official figures are not out but it is more than 7 so u can well interpolate as to where is it heading in the next three years as u plan to join it next year and also the no. of people with work ex are increasing every year in that insti... so things have to go up year on year basis
2.in terms of infrastucture it is pretty good as it does boast of a complete fitness centre and swimming pool and the hostels are pretty good to stay in...
3.in terms of choice of sectors ... u can check the website almost all sorts of industries come and recruit so there is indeed a good variety to choose from...
4. The most important point to be considered is the return on investment in the case of sims as the fees is way too low as compared to the other good schools it just bout 3 to 4 lacs and it gives u jab of above 7 on an average
and therefore my fern u must give it a serious thought....

Can you please confirm the locations of posting for the Firms that recruit from SIMS ...
I believe majority of the companies are based in and ard Pune/Mumbai ... other regions ?

profiles keep changing according to the market trend .. Location matters as i have worked for quite sometime outside my hometown and living costs matter to me to a large extent ... gaddi shaddi mein ghumne me aur ricks mein ghumne mein kafi cash flow trouble ho jata hai ... then the purpose of a good placement gets defeated ... Delhi colleges mein Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida are in good number ... plus why shouldn't you think about it ?
What do you think .. Pune is better or Delhi if the same profile is being offered ? its quite personal ... opinions vary .. but its an important factor dude..

will u tell me the weightage of snap score in final merit coz i hve a bad snap score but my gd/pi wre nice i m mech. engg. with 7 months of work ex.
