will u tell me the weightage of snap score in final merit coz i hve a bad snap score but my gd/pi wre nice i m mech. engg. with 7 months of work ex.

arun, that is one question which even i have posted on this forum but did not get an answer to i do not have an exact idea but asked a senior she says the weightage of score is very low as compared to that of the group activity and the the 2 int. she said that if the entire procees has gone smooth then the weightage of the score is miniscule so don need to bother much bout it... but i don have the exact figures anyways all the best to u hope to c u if both of us get thru...!!

hi rahul, the placement figures of SIMS are quite impressive. Do you know who was the person who got the highest package last yr and what was his/her profile...n wht subjects did he take up in the MBA course.

u bet the figures are pretty impressive ya i know the guy but can't name him he s an electronics engineer from AIT he took marketing for majors core finance jobs are anyway not goin to come to a college like sims cause till now only the best (i think only the iim s ) get the core finance jobs and also the defense junta in general are good at communication and talking is a major aspect of marketing so sims has been doin well in the marketing jobs majorly...
Ahh .. alls cool .. i prefer constructive arguments to close minded ignorance.. The very fact that the whole college is "reserved" would surely make a lot of companies vary abt coming here ... but the trend is good so far .. even the minutest doubt of every aspirant would clear huge misconceptions for many ...
so .. where were we ? ... you still actually feel locations are "trend" based ? :)
i beleive so cause most of the major companies are spread all over thhe country and where do they send an employee is majorly a function of what sort of distribution they want and how much workload they have at the respective locations , though some companies might give u the choice and if u wanna job in delhi i don think it should be too much of an issue but am not sure of this ill have to find out from someone... regarding how flexible the companies that come to sims are in terms of placin the students at a particular place but am sure of the fact that its not that only companies from in and around pune and mumbai come to sims and as far as marketing jobs are concerned i think even the major companies do not hesitate(U can c the list of recruiters and compare it with the very popular instis os symbi. u won find too many missin and over the years the gap is bridging pretty well) to come to sims cause the USP of defense junta is that they can talk well and that is a very major aspect of the success of sims which is nothing but our Parenting...

Guys from what i experienced , the panel was grilling freshers. Most work-ex guys were having a smooth process. in our batch there was a girl who was asked to sing in the interview :vamp:. My interview was more of an interaction. there were no penetrating questions. nothing about GK or current affairs. the only questions i faced were: 1. why mba? 2. tell us about urself. 3. a situation based managerial question. 4. what do u know about sims? 5. what other calls? 6. the older gentleman in one of the panels was talking to me about bangalore! 7.What are the candidates outside saying about us.. (expected). 8. job-profile specific questions..very superficial though.
also they noticed i was the only person not wearing a tie :sly:.

got some info on the learning experience thru a fren who s a sims ite she says that the quality of learning in a subject depends on whether the teaching faculty is internal or external also another interesting thing is that the visiting(external) faculty for all symbiosis mba colleges is the same so that s quiet an advantage, though the internal faculty (the permanent one) is not as good as the external ones and over and above it s good experience as once we take up our specialisations then the faculty is pretty good and the lectures are interesting(as most of them are taken by the external people) before that its all our own hard work and not much depends on the facullty so i guess overall its a pretty good picture... and the fourth sem is the most chilled out with hardly too many classes... so most of the grilling is in the 1st three semesters.Also i was told that after the college has come under the university things have changed and the teaching is expected to be more rigorous , hope this gives u some insight into the kinda learning u can expect
i think that they will have to get in more visiting faculty as they have to rasie the standard to adhere to the norms of being an international university.
Hi puys, the website says result would be out on 1st March (TENTATIVELY), now does that mean it can come early as well?? I am asking this question because i've just converted a call from ICFAI Hyd, & i am supposed to pay 80,000 before march 8. If the results are out by 1st march or earlier than that, then i can easily make my decision (coz i want SIMS & hoping to get selected). But in case it gets delayed then i am in deep shit.........any one who knows the process??
just a week left for the final results to be put up, i am sure every one is waiting very anxiously for the D day.. the thread also seems to have gone in a sleep mode...i guess its the silence before the storm ....
