@rahul.kataria yes but having chats with some senior n respectable guys ..they say rbi assistant s better than sbm po on long run , if u really wish 2 have a career ...in long run i will be benefited but still i have not taken any decision ..:)
@skars not really ..i m posted in bangalore city but yes i wish to prepare fr upsc ....n i shud make it clear to evryone po s just like senior clerk with no power for 2 years ....so there s nothing too good abt it ...
@trvg yup sude u can check ..my branch name s city branch , bangalore 53 ..state bank of mysore ..i dont why they wrk so late or so early bt funny thng s when i reached there on first day at 9:30 i was the first one ..so now i follow timings
@jamaal srry dude i m not afraid but its horrendous to believe po s respectable job , no respect apart frm ignorant people ..because they will say u sir n all that ..create hype ..its a simple job till a cerain level ...n one can expect respect if u reach grade 4 n above ..n till then it requires at least 12 years or 10 years min .... n if u r willing to wrk hard ..do it in rbi n crack grade b or upsc u wil have respect fr sure :)
@96321 he he i m lucky ..some of my frens do wrk till 7:30 n i get free by 6:30 ....sometimes it touches 7 n then on other day i may get free by 6 also ...guys po really sucks:)

@skars u r right dear but would u believe in one interview centre there was a bob po n boi po .....i m nt saying rbi assistant s better than po , certainly its not but if one works hard for 2-3 years n ( an assistant job will allow him to do n a po job can't )after 2-3 years he will be better placed than a assitant manager (po)...so one can take a risk n sacrifice 3-4k per month n things can be better ..its abt taking risks ..!!

are you telling timing of rbi office or the bank where you are a po?

@jamaal hey bussy again u r wrong ..touch wood my branch s coolest one , no wrk pressure ...but po s nt kind of job u can really learn ..its advances, the boring chq clearances, a/c opening, neft transfers ..tds /tax all boring stuffs ..n believe i hardly get chance to wrk ...i don't have wrk there n thats a negative point ..n since computerisation one can wrk smartly n wrkload wud be less its just monotonous

@jamaal okay thats exactly ? u do in po ..but here staffs do respect u coz generally all of them r clerk n promoted ones ...in rbi .. grade b is open ...5 years age relaxation s given to rbi employee n 3 years to a po ..but u can prepare well with 5 days wrk n all ...
My 2 friends are in po. One in sbi and another in canara. Both planning to leave them because there life have been ruined because of transfer and there is not so respect.

rbi is 5 days working and po is 6 days working! do you know how many leaves does one get in rbi. monthly or annually.

@trvg srry today in the actual no of leave i m not having exact figures ..but u will get leave there ..i gave my interview at mumbai head office ...one lady (wrking with rbi) told me u won't get enough money vis a vis a pvt bank ..but rbi takes good care of its employees n leave wont b a problem...
delhi rbi employee told asst is better and no one stop here. all grow here so just join it 😃
