@trvg srry fr some errors ...:) correct it n read as " as of today i m not aware of exact no pf leave in rbi ...." but cntd
@jamaal look dear don't know what motives others guy have ..but actually po s also an average job ..so one can not respect it n also one can't disrespect coz wrk s wrk ...there s nothing in a po job or an assistant job ...if we really want to achieve, we have to wrk hard ..i have my interviews coming up (idbi/psb/andhra bank ) ..not attending..coz have qualified in each n every po exam so po s nt a big deal fr anyone ....bt yes rbi s only better as it gives u opportunity 2 study ....thats all
@jamaal even i talked to some rbi people on the interview day. infact i had to get something photostated so i went to a different floor and i met a man in his 50s.
he was quite a nice person and it turned out her niece and i were from the same college.
he said rbi is a very easy job and you have an easy life. pay is less initially compared to other banks but long term prospects are good. he said you learn a lot because you are not involved in public dealing like with other banks. and there are departmental exams for promotion. he said if you work hard your work is visible and appreciated because of lesser number of employees compared to other banks. he also said that rbi takes good care of its employees and lots of perks are there. infact he was telling me that they try to recruit people who want to stay with rbi for a long term. he said that you will be the absolute junior so for one year or so you will have to do tedious work but after a fresh batch is recruited it will be good.
i have no idea what a po does but i know that they have long working hours and are hardly like a govt job. and you get transferred very frequently.

@jamaal competition s everywhere ..nothing comes easy .! u have to utilise time odrwise rbi wud be a waste ..bt i m gonna take this chance ..dude thra mehnat aur fingers crossed 😃 lets see kya hota hai n i m also getting ssc fr sure ....
@jamaal yes i see, everyone wont get promotions and all, your point of oldies checking our documents is also good. i guess its the same competition everywhere.
by the way, my interview panel had one senior lady sitting in the middle, one younger south indian lady and one young man who was in the IT (computers) department. all were quite educated, well read, and refined. maybe except the young guy.
they all looked quite intelligent and wise, not the typical sarkari babus you would expect from a Govt institution.
is this the same in every bank? i have only given one bank interview before and there the panel did not seem so refined.

Hi puys ...1st of all congrats to all who are selected... I am also in...
If u want time for study and want to settle in another then only RBI assistant is good or else if u want settle in RBI through the assistant then it is not at all good.
According to Amar DGM in RBI an assistant is eligible to write exam for RBI Grade A officer after 5 years .. after u clearing the exam u are place in a long Q ...according to seniority u are placed as a Grade A officer . naturally it takes 15 years . if the bill for Reservations in promotions passed then it will be nearly 20-25 years for General cand to promote to Grade A officer.
