I was wondering is it very necessary to go through Ramesh Singhand or Dutt-Sundaram for phase 1? There may not be huge gap between phase 1 & phase 2 exams so it seems like one should read them before phase 1.

Wanted to get some info on the kinds of roles and profiles offered to a Grade B officer from people who have already aced this exam. I have a 3 years experience in IT, however, I wanted to change my domain to finance before I join an MBA program, since a career in Finance is what I wanted as my long term career plan. From my limited research, I presume that a domain switch is not possible without a financial certification with/or a prior bachelors degree in Finance, now that I have a 3 years work ex in IT. Even if I do join a MBA program now, a post-MBA career in finance looks difficult for obvious reasons. My plan is of a financial certification with preparations for Grade B exam, followed by a GMAT later on.
I wanted to know, how will this exam help me in my plans? What value does a Grade B profile offer in an MBA class?😃
