Some change was bound to take place as Chennai is a disaster zone. Nevertheless given only a handful of vacancies, the game has entirely changed now . Surprise element of the new pattern no longer applies equally for all. As for normalisations, They are like Duckworth-Lewis method- based on some
objective criteria but need not be fair to candidates of both
slots (even UPSC can't get them right in its optional papers). Ideally RBI should have extended it for a month or so for all candidates - Chennai & surrounding areas would have been able to fully normalise and there would have been no headache of normalisation. Sadly, RBI chose the path of least inconvenience for itself, instead of ensuring fairness to all candidates.
PS: I wouldn't presume Chennai centrewallahs now have an edge over the rest- they may or may not. Just that another layer of uncertainty has been added to the exam process.
ye koi current affairs nahi ki anyone can prepare in 7 days time. isliye kisiki discuss karne se koi fark nahi padega, aur na hi is paper mein kisi ko koi benefit milega. conceptual paper hain. rbi scaling acche se use karta hain..
I appreciate Rbi taking such step and rescheduling exam for chennai center. And wonder about people who were propogating the idea of postponement of exam and now ranting and complaining why it wasn't postponed pan India. #doublestandard
Theoretically there r 2860 ppl, but practically competition is only between 500-600 candidates.
The undue advantage is that the, Surprise element in this exam being conducted first tym, will be disclosed. Hope people will understand this point after being surprised on 7th. Also hope that RBISB would understand these intricacies and would play along...

rbi ko date nahi deni chahiye thi 14th ki. us din bhi exam lena mushkil hi hoga. 20 k baad hi hoga exam.

Some doubts related to GST:
1. GST will be dual GST and comprise of CGST and SGST. So, does the customer sees on receipt only GST or both CGST and SGST.
2. Further, since states are levying SGST. Does that mean that they are free to fix the rate of SGST i.e. each state will have different rate of SGST? Then how same rate for entire country concept is fulfilled?

People who really think that Chennai guys would be in advantage, put yourself in their shoes. While we are busy here speculating and studying, they must be struggling for their survival.
Imagine you'd have been stuck in flood when the Phase1 result came and knew everything about syllabus !! Would you be able to focus on preparation ?? Would you have been in advantage ?

The biggest advantage Chennai guys have is that they will know what the paper be like where as we will be sailing in uncharted waters. This advantage is more than 1 weeks study.
Or should i say "Jisse darte they wahi bat ho gayi... lala.lalaaa...."
Till last year there are 500 word essay, 230 word precise, 250 word letter, 3-4 comprehension question.
So overall there are like 1100 words material in 3 hrs.
Since we have online paper this year & 90 min paper
Expectancy is there would be hardly 500-600 word material to write in Descriptive papers which can be like 250-300 word easy, 100-150 word precise, another 100-150 word letter, 50 word comprehension.
OR may be Single 500 word essay 😁 😁 😁 😁 😁
Do U think many good publications or coaching institutes would come up with its Objective books on Finance & Mgmt, Eco & Stats after the paper pattern is out this year?
