Hi all I seriously need to start the preparation fr rbi grade b.last yr I cleared pre bt couldn't clear MAINS bcuz my background is btech.can anybody guide for social economic issues where should I start from??and for finance which book to refer?

I worked in a psu and applied for resignation and came home in leave without pay. They said we would send resignation acceptance letter to my home as well as in mail id. But it has been more than 3 months, but no progress of my work.The assistant manager who does the work , doesnot receive my phone and in mail they just replied that ur service closure request is on process. When I talked to the DGM and he said "there is a process beta and process takes time".In january also he replied same and yesterday also he replied same. Now I have to join as examiner in CBEC for which I need relieve letter from that PSU. What should be my next step ? Unfortunately it is navaratna psu and work culture is very bad .HR is full of ego and attitude. I am really worried about my future. In case I can get in RBI, then also I need relieve letter. Please guide what should I do now ? I feel they want to harrass me mentally and infact they are doing it.
For future aspirants On economic survey do read the 1st volume properly I personally found many good things which adds another dimension , though the exam is objective in nature but the deep understanding will definitely help both in phase 2 and in interview plus many government schemes are listed down too Regarding volume 2 you can read that one topic on monetary management which is good but don't know about its utility in the exam Bakki volume 2 have good important data those should be done Bankruptcy code , uday scheme etc.. Have been explained in those boxes those should be covered In a nutshell economic survey will be really helpful both volume 1&2 has something to offer volume 1 should be read totally (it's really good and interesting too) and regarding two as I said datas and boxes in few schemes are important and rest can be skipped as they have not much utility to Rbi exam (it's boring too with two much stats)
Do they grill too much if you are a passout from IIM ...and that too from engineering stream...with pre mba work exp in Engg Vertical ...
I wanted some advice! What is the best material for general awareness. I know newspapers are the obvious answer, but I've never been a fan of newspapers. Is there any alternative?
Another question is, during phase 1, general awareness is more geared towards banking and finance sectors or is it the whole thing that say a Manorama Year book or Pratiyogita Darpan carries.
How much marks are you expecting in English his time ? Also can someone tell how much marks on an average were scored in English last year?
