The Central Statistical Office (CSO) on 31 May 2016 released the provisional estimates of national GDP for 2015-16. It pegged GDP growth at 7.9 percent in Quarter 4 of 2015-16 and 7.6 percent in the whole of 2015-16.
Can someone please explain this, I mean these data were already in Economic survey 15-16 right ? Then why CSO releasing provisional estimates ?
