For those who've already experience the TISS journey, just like me.. It indeed was an awesome journey all the way.. the first step being the Written test, part-one and part-two, followed by the struggles with DAF and then the GD/PIs. Let me assure you one things, it of-course was not a cake walk to clear the written test.. be proud that you could be among the privileged few who managed to clear the TISS Entrance Test thus qualified for GD/PI. We had our own sweet GD & PI experiences and luckily we are aware (at-least to an extent) of the "jiffy" by which we missed out to be a part of the premier institute!

Now, for the first-timers.. Do join this up with the set of experienced puys and lets make this thread a worthwhile discussion place! Let this thread help those passionate aspirants to get ready for a hard fight only to win in the end and to be a part of TISS! Now that we are aware of the entire procedure right from the application part till the PI lets concentrate on the weaknesses and the arenas where we think we should have paid and now must pay attention to.

1) :cheerio:The current thread will carryout discussions pertaining to the Part-2 paper discussions or in short subject/Concept based discussions! This thread can be used by aspirants of not only HRM&LR; stream but also the other courses.

2) :cheerio:The below thread is the Part-1 version of the current thread.. Here we shall discuss paper-1.. VA, GK, DI, DS, LR, QA & Current Affairs.

It indeed was an awesome journey all the way.. the first step being the Written test followed by the struggles with DAF and then the GD/PIs. Let me assure you one things, it of-course was not a cake walk to clear the written test.. be proud that you could be among the privileged few who managed to clear the TISS Entrance Test thus qualified for GD/PI. We had our own sweet GD & PI experiences and luckily we are aware (at-least to an extent) of the "jiffy" by which we missed out to be a part of the premier institute!

Let this thread help those passionate re-aspirants to get ready for a hard fight only to win in the end and to be a part of TISS! You still have chances of converting the call but yes you always have to thing the other way also.. Hope you are having other options with u ready! This is not a bit to demotivate you but god-forbid jus in case you are unable to convert the WL, are u thinking to reappear for TISS? If yes then please join us and we can start preparing and rectifying our shortcomings right away and gear up for the next academic session of TISS!!

Soumya, putting up papers released by TISS is allowed.. You can post the papers here if you like. Its easier to download it from the threads.

So here are the test papers listed year wise. These have all been made available by TISS on their website at some point but have been taken off after a while.

Well is this thread open for discussion to the first time aspirants like me......I have been following TISS HRM threads for two consecutive years and TISS is my dream institute......Will be appearing this year for the 1st time as i was ineligible to apply and looking forward to all of your suggestions......

But i feel that its a bit early and hasty in opening the thread now itself....
It is still April and the exam would be there in December....
Maintaning the momentum in the thread all through out might be a tough task (considering only select group of people participate here unlike threads like "official quant thread" etc)
would drop in some time....if i can do some thing here

PS: In case if u dont find enough momentum, u can ask the mods to close the thread temprarily and reopen it once the notification is out

Congrats for the victory! have been seeing you all throughout our preparation right from the written test on the "prior to GD/PI thread"! must say that u deserve it.. and thanks for your wishes!
Well coming back to this thread.. i appreciate your point but the reason behind opening the thread is not only from the preparation point of view but also to motivate other passionate TISS aspirants who could not qualify for this session. What i felt is that opening a thread right away will not only help the deeply dejected TISS aspirants to pick up the zeal to reappear and start the preparation right away but also will guide them throughout, how to go about spending the rest of the 6-7 months! so by discussion this and knowing that its not a foolish decision to think of re-trying for TISS will only make the determination stronger and a non-monotonous activity. This thread is a motivation and assurance. but yes, lets see how far it is possible.. like you said, its difficult to keep the momentum going on but its not impossible. Let me try!!

Whats up? Guess every one is waiting for the season to end and start afresh, with their backup plans alongside!
Thats nice.. i guess it will take another two-three weeks for the thread to pick up, quite naturally!

Well! I thought i would share my plans to you which may help puys on the thread or other re-aspirants!
As i am a 2009 passed-out with 1 & 1/2 yrs of work-ex and i ve been preparing for the season and (un) fortunately couldnt convert any decent calls the most important one being TISS i thought i would have a couple of plans for me than being at home over again n preparing..
ONE. Join an MSW insti down south (cuz i'm at Chennai right now) mean time prepare for TISS...
TWO. Join an NGO while preparing for TISS...
THREE. Do a one year-course (relevant to the course at TISS or some where related) while preparing for TISS. So, as of now these are the options i have thought about tho' the actual implementation is yet to be done! Hope things work out.. You can share how you guys are planning about and for any guidance regarding institutes down south for MSW please let me know.

So thats about it! And most importantly.. I have the materials provided by Nakul which were not posted on the thread due to some copyright reasons! Kindly PM me your email IDs so that it can reach it to all of you & who ever needs them.

Hey Shillax ..Great effort !!!! But I think we have created too many threads here, like if you are creating separate threads for written and GD/PI for SW then what really is the purpose of this thread in which we are currently in ? It may lead to a lot of confusion. Can you please re-iterate the purpose of each thread please and if possible combine a few..

NO other plans.no other back up.all what exists is this waiting list.if not i am appearing next year again for DS. and i know 98% the list does not clear ;atmost 2.lets see what happens.By the way i am a mech engineer final ye student
