@pgpm.adcom I have been shortlisted for the Interview with date selection options being 13th June and 25th July..
Needed clarification regarding the GMAT score acceptance cut-off post which some decisions need to be made:
Since the application deadline was initially the 15th of August, I had scheduled my GMAT exam for 23rd July (even though preparation time was less, just so that I am eligible for the SP Jain cut-off). Since the below (i.e. cut-off revised to 31st Aug and GMAT appearing till Aug 15' 2015), I am planning to reschedule the GMAT date to around 10th Aug so that I give myself a better chance.
Please advise whether this is advisable. Please find below the information received as a part of Interview shortlisting information:
"You have an option of entering GMAT scores (already submitted / recently appeared / appearing till Aug 15th, 2015)
Applicants can apply and participate in the interview process; the GMAT Scores can be submitted latest by 31st Aug 2015. The final admission offer would be subject to the submission of GMAT/CAT/XAT qualifying scores by the aforesaid date."

Hi guys. I noticed that there was not much interview experiences posted here, so I thought I would share mine.
---------
I am a software engineer with 5 years experience. Started in Wipro(2 years). Now working at Oracle. Current designation is senior applications engineer. Gmat 740, btech(cse) 77, XII 94, X 91.2. I don't have any extra curricular except that I served as secretary of my residents association for 2 years.
I had interview on March 5th. I was notified by email on Feb 23rd that there would be interview on March 5th . I submitted by profile on Feb 24th and got interview call on Feb 25th.
Interview was 2 rounds, both group interviews with no elimination in between rounds. In each group there was 6 candidates. First round they make sure that your specialization and career goals are in line with your current career path. Second round is mostly to assess one's personality. Depending on your introduction, you will get questions which will enable the panel to get you know better. Also had few general topics for group discussion like Rahul Gandhi's leave of absence and BBC documentary. In each round, there was not more than 6 or 7 questions addressed to each candidate, unless there is something in your profile which requires explanation.
Tips - Only suggestion I have is that you should be prepared to elaborate on any statement that you say in the interview. I would say work on your introductions for both rounds. First round is professional based and second is more personal based. And also see what kind of follow question you can expect from that intro. Also work on 3 strengths and 3 weakness with clear examples/scenarios to substantiate them. The interview panel is friendly and they don't ask very tough questions. Its up to you not to get into difficult situations. Don't say your strength is honesty if you don't have a substantiating story, because the follow up question from the panel will be to provide a scenario where you displayed honesty.
Personal experience - The interview panel will put you at ease. Their intention is not to intimidate or scare you but to see if you are a perfect fit to their university. Go through the vision and values of SPJain and see what kind of candidates they want. I had a very very bad first round. Luckily there is no elimination between the rounds. I went in with a nothing to lose approach in the second round and did much better that the first round. If your specialization is not in line with your current career path, make sure you can justify that. They will make you justify your choice of specialization.
P.S:- I received a spot offer for IM specialization.

@Branga@adcom.pgpm I have earlier submitted my form with my interviews location preference as Mumbai. But I was having one constraint to attend the interviews in Mumbai. So I asked Adcom Team to change my interview preference from Mumbai to Bangalore. Till date I did not received any sort of communication from college. Are all the calls have been sent out for Bangalore interviews ?
Just wanted to know after how many days the call for interview is communicated after submitting the application in case the application is short listed.
Hi Team, when would be the final results of PGPM 2016 selection be out? For spot selection, after how many days of the interview the candidate is usually informed?
I got an invitation to apply to SPJIMR, PGPM. I will be having 5 years of IT experience with TCS by Dec , 2015.
Cat 2014 %tile 87.95 ,B. Tech(cse) 8.44(WBUT) , XII 80, X 84(Both West Bengal board). I don't have any extra curricular activity.
Would like to know about my chances. Also based on my profile can you please suggest me on the specialisation I should apply for. My personal preference is
1> Operations
2>HRM/Information management.
Their website does not have any information regarding their past HRM batch which is a little confusing.
Also would like to know about their average pay packages. Considering my profile please suggest me whether any of these courses will help me to propel my career. Awaiting your valuable insights.
Thanks in advance.
