Few updates...(1) Delhi interview location details will be sent by today evening to the candidates. (2) Mumbai interview spot offers will be out latest by end of next week.
interview on 9th May and got mail few weeks back to submit GMAT Score. Does that mean i have cleared it and have to submit only GMAT Score or its just only Application formality.
Completed the interview formalities today. Excellent staff with 2 rounds of Interviews (they call is discussions!). Clearly dissuading the candidates who're opting for complete change of profile thru this course. Note: Always choose your specialization akin to your work ex.
Gave the interview yesterday in Delhi for the Marketing specialization. The panelists were really nice, and like they said, it really was a discussion rather than an interview. Below is how it went:
1) Document verification - all the candidates were accommodated in a hall and each person was individually called out for document verification. This was being done simultaneously with the interviews
2) Round 1 - a group of 5 candidates was sent for interviewing with a panel of 3 - out of which 2 were professors and 1 was an alum. Simple question on introduction, why MBA/specialization chosen, and plans after MBA. Candidates who has chosen a specialization that did not match their professional background were grilled, and then clearly told that they should reconsider because placements would be a big issue for them.
3) Round 2 - the same group of 5 candidates was sent to a panel of 2 - both professors. The questions were same as Round 1, with slight modifications on a person to person basis. Again, the candidates with mis-matching specialization choices were dissuaded from their choice and told that their chances of being accepted into the program would be less.
Key takeaways:
- This is not an interview, but just a discussion. So don't worry about the preparation too much.
- Have a clear understanding of why you want to do a particular specialization and how it will help in your future plans. For example, if you have worked in IT and then want to do a finance specialization to switch to banking - you're in trouble.
- As it has been said by other people on this forum, PGPM by SPJain is only for career acceleration and not for career change. So don't apply with unrealistic expectations.
Happy to take further questions on the interviews (through PM or comments on this post).
Once SP Jain shortlists for interview, it will be sharing a profile sheet, which again has essays. Can anyone tell me from where can I get download that form? I could not find that on their website.
Can the members of this who got a interview call please share their GMAT scores? Just wanted to get an idea about the range of score considered for this year...Thanks in advance
I want to plan my GMAT dates and apply for SPJAIN. Gist of my profile:
X :85.46
XII:74.17
BE(IT):70.13
4 years 7 months total experience
15 months of International experience
Website shows last date submission of forms is 15th august and submit GMAT score by 31 Aug.
1)Does that mean i can complete application submission by 15 and GMAT by say 20th and then send the score(might seem obvious but still want to double check)
2)I intend to do specialization in IM/Operations.Looking at my profile do i stand a chance and estimated score i need to get in?

I am interested in joining SPJIMR PGPM 2016. I have registered in the website and I am in the process of filling up the online application.
I have heard that people might get a interview call just by filling up the application form and without GMAT score. The GMAT score can be provided later. I was hoping to fill up the application form and if the profile is suitable get a interview call and give my GMAT sometime in mid August and provide my GMAT score before August 31st.
But in the application form there is this sentence which reads "Please note that your form will be 'Read Only' and closed for editing once you click "Proceed with Payment"".
If I fill up the application form now and make the payments how will i be able to fill up my GMAT score later on if the application is ready only?
Does it mean that I just fill up the application form and not make the payments and wait for a interview call and then while filling up my GMAT score then I make the payment?
Please help me out here. I have as per the SP Jain calculation in 10th 69% and 12th 63% . GMAT 680 .
Now will my 10th and 12th score be an issue here? Please reply ASAP. I have an offer from KJ Somaiya.
