@akumars003 following the threads i thought that interview dates have already been given... and how can a m.tech from IITs have a negative effect??
@reetii said:@sheshadre sir i am presently doing m.tech..so it would create negative or positive effect on interviewer. what Q they may ask regarding dis.?
@sheshadre no interview dates have been disclosed till now..
negative effects like why u want to quit IIT m tech and want to join sail??????
@sunny1987 said:@sheshadre what question will they ask for guys switching from other psu to sail?? is thr any bond in sail??
@akumars003 yeah.. that's not a negative effect but its a method to judge your resolve to join the company... so if you're really serious about it then you can prepare you're replies accordingly... in no way your pursuit of an M.tech is going to hamper your chances in selection.

@Umasri work culture 😁 :D.. like any other government organization... for girls its very cool.. so you needn't worry.. promotion policies is the same like for any other PSU
see these are the grades and the time period in which you will be promoted to the next grade
1. E1(4 yrs :- 1 yr training, 1 yr probation, 2yrs in grade) {Junior Manager}
2. E2(3 yrs) :- Assistant manger
3. E3(3 yrs):- Deputy manager
4. E4(3 yrs):- Manager
5. E5( 3 yrs) :- Senior Manager
6. E6(minimum 3 yrs/conditional) :- Assistant General manager
7. E7(minimum 3yrs/conditional) :- Deputy General Manager
and then comes the GM, EDs and COOs {long way there!}
usually there are no hinderances up until E5 and after its really performance based...
@october_nights i worker in vedanta myself before joining here in SAIL. true that working in a pvt company does take away the hours but a gap in your career path won't reflect well.. so i would suggest carry on with the job... and its not very hard to crack the PSU exams like SAIL et al.... just takes the right approach... so IMO continue with your work and sweat it out for a PSU written... its not impossible you know.. :)
