yes i also enquired through someone in Corp Aff office one week back they told last week of jan but was hoping it wasnt true and didnt want to deflate the expectation of result of every else with rumour mongering.

2011 batch ki joinings may month ko hui thi.Its just a pity policy sail follows to make the first promotion delay six months.
@slendereyes Sir - No use. SAIL rarely responds to mail. Regarding promotion delay, that is really funny. No other organization does this.
@User.000 @slendereyes So basically this delay is to make joining later so that they can delay the Job Promotions. Is it so?
@slendereyes Sir, suppose SAIL selected Mr. A for the post. during medical analysis, it was found that A is unfit. What will SAIL do now? Since, they donot have extra wait list with them, will they issue a 2nd notification advt?

people rarely get rejected in medical as u can see the medical standards are not very strict or difficult to qualify for that matter.There is even relaxation for SC ST & female candidates .As far I know colour blindness & partial hearing problems are taken seriously.Even poor eyesight can be overlooked if u are using glassses .Make sure that u dont have any of the above.
