Was the person who answered my call, a man of any authority or position? I've no idea.
Did he sound convincing enough? Yes he did.
Did he answer reluctantly or calmly? Guess he was just fine.He listened to me patiently.
How did I get the number? I called a number from a pdf attachment posted by Mr. @deesinghpar .A lady picked up the phone and gave me the number of some "Recruitment Cell"(as i heard). So,I called it.

last year i missed ntpc by narrowest of the margin and now if sail is giving the results after gate and my xam goes good no chance that i m joining this company........................ now fed up of the estimations and dates....................... f*** you psu's..................................
It seems SAIL results will be out only after we complete 2000 replies on this thread
guys its best and wise to get into serious preparations for GATE.... sail is going to fool around for a long time....
hii friends...my branch was Electronics & Electrical Eng(as opposed to Electrical & Electronics Eng)..in our university it was mainly Electronics and we are studying under HOD of Electronics..
at the time of interview in Sail in Electronics they asked whether i am elegible acc to Advertisent notification for Electroncis or not..
I told them in the adv it was Electrical & elctronics which was coming under Electrical section..
but in my case it is Electronics & Electrical as per our university..Then they allowed me as i said only Electronics Branch is there in adv & i can appear under that too..
after all they allowed me after verification of certifiates..
now as i have successfully appeared in int/GD ,will they again comsider these things or verify again in any phase of selection... plz discuss...
As you have already appeared in GD & PI two things are clear
1.there is not any branch dispute in your case because they have selected you in written under a branch of engg.(which branch that is uncertain for the time).
2.They have cleared you in the document varification(prior to GD & PI).
So chill if there were to be any dispute you had been rejected even for appearing GD & PI.

@deepsinghpar and all other I tried calling on this number 011-22441758 but its saying the dialed number cannot be connected at this time. i guess SAIL has decided to be in accessible till the time they are actually ready with the results. There are so many things dependent on this result and it itself is testing our patience to a limit beyond endurance
gate ki prep aap log man laga kar shuru kar de.....or ongc wale interview ki,,,,sail ko jab result anounce karna hoga wo kar dega.......aur ha...calling to them on any no. is not going to solve any purpose,,,,because in these psu...the person who pick up the fone is chaprasi..... usko sail ka fulform bhi thik se pata nahi hogi,,,,,so relax every body,,,,result january mehi ..aayega...pakka......
