Friends plz clear my doubt... Point 5 in call letter states "The candidates must bring one photo identity proof such as passport/Adhar/PAN Card/Driving Licence/Voter's Card/Bank Passbook with duly attested Photograph/Identity Card issued by college or university/Employee ID/Gazetted Officer in the official letterhead in original as well as a self _attested Photocopy thereof." So it means we also have to get a photo ID issued by a Gazetted Officer????

8 AM PANEL II
The SBI people were very cordial...
Document verification was very rigid and strict....one officer was cross verifying the candidates by asking various questions...
GD started at 10 AM sharp....the 5 panel members consisted of 4 men and a lady (reminded me of the movie "ek phool char mali" 😛 ... they were all EX SBI people...Firstly they made cool and calm the candidates by their words....then GD rules were described and topic was provided....the topic was " Should we have STUDENT UNIONS in Educational Institution".... in our panel out of 14 candidates 12 were present and all were good speakers...everyone contributed in the 2nd round of the GD too even though it was an optional round...
Now comes the Interview part...the panel was taking 12-15 minutes on average for each candidate....My interview went average...the questions were....
Why RBI is not cutting the rates rapidly....what is the reason
What is a letter of credit....
What is bank guarantee
What is trade deficit
what is balance of payment
Some questions from past experience and previous organisation...
Some questions were from my extra curricular activities.....
so thats all from my side....all the best to the people who have their GDPI still remaining....

11th sep..8 AM ..SBI LHO Delhi..panel 5
gd topic was " is private sector more insecure than public sector".. 2 mins to think, 2 mins to speak individually, discussion for 5-10 mins.
Interview panel members were good. More stress was given on HR questions. I prepared hell lot of banking, but to my dismay, was asked just 2 questions on banking. 1. What is a mutual fund?
2. What is the new formula, for calculating GDP, adopted by India?
Luckily, i was able to convince the members in the second question 😛
Other questions asked were:
1. Why is manipal university famous for?
2. Where is Harvard univ, oxford univ, cambridge univ?
3. tell me something about OPEC?
4. Which are the countries from which India imports oil ?
5. Tell me something about the Iran Sanctions case? Why did it happen and what is the current status?
6. Did India used to import oil from iran during its sanctioned period?
7. What do u understand by banking?
8. After completing your B.Tech, why dint u go for an MBA degree, rather than coming for this bank interview?
One member who was asking the max questions was not at all giving sufficient time for a reply.. kaat deta tha beech me or ek naya question le ata tha..i dnt know what will happen..as he seemed to be not fully satisfied by my answers.
There were some more questions.. i cant remember them now..Interview went on for 10-15 mins.

Done with GD/PI Kolkata LHO Panel 1 - 8AM
12 candidates were present out of 15. I was number 11. Document verification was cool. One guy had only one character certificate. The officer told him, don't worry, if you can get it later, try to bring it!! 😁
GD topic was "WOMEN MAKE BETTER MANAGERS THAN MEN". Very general topic...went ok-ok...first 2mins for each one...then approx 10 mins open session.
PI was very confusing for me...I mean I cannot understand how exactly it had been...good, bad, terrible...really don't know!!
M1 : Why did you leave TCS
Me : wanted to be in Govt sector...etc...
M1 : you will be posted far away from home, how will manage...staying away from your husband...
Me : Sir we have discussed this, and for at least 3-4 years we are ok with that. After that, we will see (I did not sound very convincing I know!)
Maam : tell me names of a few Indian female writers who write in English
Me : Jhumpa Lahiri, Arundhati Roy...
Maam actually asked me a lot of questions on literature...and was extremely impressed with my answers!! This was indeed the best part of my interview!! 😁
By the way, I had mentioned "Photography" as my hobby...don't know why she started with literature!! To be honest, literature has always been my first and truest love, but didn't mention that in bio data in fear of tricky questions 😛
Then I was asked about the gold monetisation scheme...which I could answer.
Demographic dividend I had no idea about 😞
Maam asked me why Nobel prize is given...in which fields...Name of US First Lady - I answered...name of India's First Lady...could not recall her name, what a shame!!...who is Bill Gates...what's the name of his wife...who is Warren Buffet...who is Azim Premji...what's common between them...I said philanthropic activities...she asked about something Bill and Melinda Gates have done recently...could not answer that.
Another sir asked why I wanted to switch from TCS to govt job...is it because of job security...I said yes, and explained how the situation is in private sector...
That's all I can remember guys!! Somehow I feel they had already decided to reject me...may be that's why did not drill much...
