Only for General Candidates who couldn't make it to the SBI Final List and are depressed after their results:
Category withcode Number of Vacancies Selected
SC (01) 308 314
SC(OH) (02) 01
SC (VH) (03) 01
ST (04) 319 295
ST (OH) (05)
ST (VH)(06)
OBC (07) 541 603
OBC (OH) (08) 06
OBC (VH) (09) 08
GEN (10) 812 684
GEN (OH) (11) 36
GEN (VH) (12) 28
TOTAL 2000 1976
Note:
1) The vacancies for OBC are 541 selected 603 i.e total 62 extra selected
2) Clearly mentioned in SBI PO 2105 advertisement the vacancies for disabled aspirants are 62 and that too mentioned in the adverstisement vacancies for OH & VH are reserved horizontically then why there is so much difference in the OH & VH candidates slected from general category and reserved category. OH & VH candidates selected from general category 64 and from reserved category only 16. Total 80 selected against 62 vacancies.
3) Its being a curse to be from general category in this country and the most hurting is why there discrimination in selecting general candidates in final list as only 684 aspirants selected against the total vacancies of 812. A huge difference of 128 bank aspirants who dream to be a part of leading public sector bank but their dreams shattered...
Even if we add OH and VH candidates selected from general category to the number 684 candidates selected from genreal category then also the total candidates selected from general category are 748. Again a difference of 64 which is a big number if we compared to the level of competition in general category...
Is there anyone in this forum who can clear my this doubt that how this can happen??
Don't you guys think that this is totally unfair and injustice done to general category students who give their lot of efforts and years of preparation so that their dream of being a part of leading public sector banks get fulfilled...
This is the second consecutive year when i couldn't able to make to final merit list in SBI and I am totally broken from inside...
I really want an answer of this and untill I get an answer I am going to fight for it.....

bhaijaan....ab kuch accha mil gaya hai life mein to pessimism se duur rahein.....hardwork har jagah karna padta hai...kripya negative logon se bachein....positive thoughts apnaaye...evam khush rahein...kuch logo ko to job bhi bahut mushkil se naseeb hoti hai..u r the lucky ones...chill
Ok posting it here rather than individually replying to everyone:
The procedure going forward is going to be something like this:
Expect a call/email from your allotted LHO anytime in the coming week. They will most probably ask you to come to the city where your LHO is situated for the medical test and document verification. If this travelling is logistically feasible for you, go. Otherwise you can try and request them to get your medical/doc verification done at the LHO closest to you. For medical, they will give you a list of tests and the specified place where you need to get all those tests done. Get the tests done only from the place which they specify to you. Once you get all the test reports (which is mostly on the same day when you get the tests done) you have to carry all of them to the SBI paneled doctor who will check your reports, conduct a short medical exam on you, and will finally issue a fit/not fit certificate to you. You have to carry that certificate to the LHO, where if you have got a fit certificate, they will once again verify your documents. Once these two steps are successfully completed, then all you have to do is wait for the HR dept to issue you your joining letter and the date and place of joining.
Here I go with some of the positives of being a part of this elite organisation called SBI for youngsters like us. 1. All those who have an appetite for finance career. This tenure will surely add a feather in your cap. SBI reimburses professional courses like US accredited CFA, CFP, etc which are very much valued in the market. This can come in handy if you want to switch later on in a private bank. There are ample of SBI senior officers who have taken the advantage of this facility and are currently working in banks like ICICI, HDFC, Axis, etc at a min package of 20-25 lacs 2. Chance of a foreign posting after 5 yrs of service. As you know , SBI operates in 32 countries and provides variety of retail, treasury, credit, wholesale banking services for international customers. A foreign stint will surely provide a great boost to your CV and who knows you might be in the interview list of JP Morgan, BOA or for that matter Morgan Stanley. FYI, foreign banks in India recruit for only backend jobs barring graduates from IIM-A,B,C. However, you might luckily land an onshore job in a foreign bank with the help of foreign posting in SBI. 3. Monetary benefits provided are best in the business. I literally mean best in the business and this includes PSU as well as Private banks. No bank provides you such benefits at this age (Assuming you are aged between 22-28). Here's the snapshot of the monetary benefits. Net Salary - 35,500 approx PF contrbtn - 3500 approx NPS contrbtn - 3500 approx Perks - 7000 approx So, you roughly get Rs.50000 each month out of which 7000 goes for PF & MPS which you'll get once you resign. 4. Lease facility provided is again best in the business. It's around - 29500 in Mumbai Circle 26500 in Delhi Circle And approx 20k for all other circles Believe me, this limit provides you ample chance to lease a fully furnished 3 bhk home. And as I said earlier if you have dependents then you can retain the same lease till the time you resign. Also, FYI the lease limit for an RBI gr B officer is just 12000 in Delhi. 5. Medical facility. From now on you don't have to pay a penny for all your medical expenses. It's fully paid by SBI. Besides your dependants are also allowed to claim 75% reimbursement 6. Furniture facility. You get Rs.120000 to spend on furniture the way you want. No other organisration provides such hefty amount. Not even RBI 7. Misc. Income. Some other ways of earning more money at SBI. For instance, I have been earning At least on an average Rs.60,000 each month. All thanks to the following ways of earning extra penny in SBI. I. You get Rs.5000 honorarium for passing each certification course. There are several courses of NISM, FIMMDA, NSE, etc. This not only improves knowledge but also gives you extra 5000. II. You get commission on selling General Insurance / Life insurance / Mutual fund products of SBI. This again not only gives you a chance to earn more money but also improves your overall personality. For instance, I have personally presented Insurance products to Army Heads, MNC employees, Bureaucrats, etc. And this selling is different from a normal sales boy selling. Here you have Big brand backing you and you fix an appointment before pitching rather than randomly roaming around. 8. Work-life balance. Many of you might have heard that PSU banks working hours has widened. I beg to differ on the same. There hasn't been a single day barring few exceptional days where I have reached home after 7:30 pm. I leave at 9 am and I am back by 7:30 pm. Unlike, in private sector where you have to work 24*7*365. Hope this somewhat clears the air. Cheers. God bless.
