well meanwhile I was reading the Handbooks for SBI officers, Ā (I was looking for it from while, as I wanted to know about other allowances ,remembered Ā as my dad had such hand book too) in page no.552 it states that -
FIRST YEAR OF PROBATION: INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING

27.10 TRAINING OF PROBATIONARY OFFICERS/TRAINEE OFFICERS 27.10.1 Training Schedule of Probationary /Trainee Officers
The training schedule for Probationary Officers/Trainee Officers has been prepared keeping in view the need to prepare them to face the dynamics of the emerging Banking scenario. The present training schedule of POs?/TOs would be as under:
i. Their actual institutional and on-the-job Branch training be for a period of 1 year.
ii. They will be placed as regular officers during the second year of their probation with full passing powers as applicable to the post they hold.
iii. After 2 years they will be eligible for confirmation as JMGS I or MMGS II depending on their qualifying marks in the confirmation test/ interview. The training schedule for Probationary, is detailed below : FIRST YEAR OF PROBATION: INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING (I posted it above )
Second Year of Probation:
ON-THE-JOB TRAINING IN BRANCHES
Sl. No On-the Job Training Period Weeks
1. First 2 Branches (non-BPR Centre) - To include General Banking (GB) & Retail Banking (Per & SME) and Agri Business - 17 weeks RCPC & MRT - 4 weeks (two weeks each) - 21 weeks Ā (5 months)
2. Second Branch (BPR centre) - To include General Banking (Per- NRI, SME, Govt., IB) 10 (2 Ā½ months)
3. Business Processing Cells (BPR Centre) 11 (2 Ā¾ months) RACPC - 2 weeks SMECC - 2 weeks SARC - 2 weeks TFCPC - 1 week Clearing/Pension/LCPC - 3 weeks HLST/MPST -1 week
Total 42 weeks !!
They will be placed as regular officers during the second year of their probation with full passing powers as applicable to the post they hold i.e. Rs 2,00,000/- for cash and Rs 5,00,000/- for transfer transactions.
Called OICL HR today, said Assistant result will be out in another 1 or 2 weeks at most.
