I dont find any scholarships being offered to Schulich India students. Any particular reason for this or Schulich is not known generously for scholarships?
Hi Nishant/Angad,
Thanks for replying to my queries.
1. My ECs include involvement with a small religious group and some computer gaming. Would these help?
In your opinion, can computer gaming be worth mentioning?
As I dont have any proofs/certificates to submit for any of these, would these still be counted?
2. As I would be taking almost all the amount of loan for the studies, my main concern would be to secure a placement at the end of the course, and that too in Canada/US. Taking a worst case scenario, just asking, how are the placements there? Is it more India-oriented?
Regards,
Akhil Kohli
Hi Akil,
Happy to help :D
1. Akhil ask yourself this question: How does my ECs fit/help with my overall goal post mba? Take a holistic view of your entire application and then check whether your ECs adds value or diminishes it. Again, its your complete application that matters. You would need to prove if asked to verify any involvement quoted by you in your application.
2. As of now the placements are more in Canada. Stay tuned to get more updates on placements. I have mentioned some companies in my previous posts.
Best regards,
Angad Chowdhary.

Scholarships and Bursaries
Students in this class will receive scholarships and bursaries valued at $8000, $10000 and $12000 (CAD). This funding will be based on academic excellence and financial need.
The amount of scholarship may vary. You are eligible for scholarship/bursary in the second year of schulich india mba program also. There is a separate portal Bursary application where you update your financial details and academic scores to apply for scholarships/bursaries which is then retrieved by the student services.
For more details you may contact the financial aid, student services and international relations, schulich at [email protected]

@ at1987, Hi there ! Nishant and I are from the same batch. I feel proud to say that he has received not one but two awesome job offers. Feel free to ask more doubts to us.
Below are answers specific to your question:
1.Currently average GMAT score is 660. The requirement is same for both the programs.
*GMAT score (a balanced score in all sections of the test)
2.Only if your medium of study has not been English u may require appearing for English language Test IELTS. More on that contact [email protected] or check the website.
3.Your entire application package will determine your admission. GMAT and Extra curricular activities are only individual component of your application.
4.Answered in previous posts.
5.MBA in India (India campus and Toronto campus) is $47000 CAD.
MBA (2 year Toronto campus) is $60000 CAD.
Best regards,
Angad chowdhary.

Hi Nishant/Angad,
I have started filling up my online application for Schulich India and have some doubts regarding the application procedure:-
- Do I need to submit original certificates alongwith the application? Can I submit photocopies instead? Can I just e-mail the softcopies?
- As I have 5+ yrs of work ex, can I submit both professional references or is it mandatory to have 1 academic reference?
- Against which ID or reference number should I submit the undergraduate transcripts from my college? Do I need to complete and submit the online application before sending the transcripts?
Thanks and Regards,
Akhil Kohli
Our new campus will be the home for Schulich in India. We will take our first MBA class in in January 2013.
This will be the Two year MBA that we are currently offering here in Toronto and the one we are also offering in Mumbai/Toronto at the SPJIMR campus .
We are all very excited about this more permanent move to India and what it means for the growth of our school and the developments in India...
Right now we are accepting applications for our Schulich in India class starting in January 2012... Have you begun the process? If not do not delay.. there will be limited space. Our second Schulich in India class will be arriving from Mumbai to begin second year in about three weeks.. They had a great first year in Mumbai and are all looking forward to being here in Toronto for Year 2.
You must qualify for admissions to Schulich. This includes the GMAT... good luck with the test.
