My take-

1-> b { there are two reasons stated, so 'were'}
2-> e { parallelism }
3-> b { subjunctive cases don't need 'should' }

Original sentence-- The road trip that normally takes 2 hrs was completed in hr."

Clipped sentence "that normally takes two hours"

Is the clipped part a clause or not ? if it is a clause then what is the simple subject of it ??

Yes,I think the part- that normally takes two hours- is a clause with 'that' as a subject which also modifies the main subject in the sentence - road trip

not sure if the pronoun- they is modifying associates,but the pronoun who in the below sentence definitely does;)

In first, of course jury is collective noun but in this particular sentence, members of jury doesnt come at common consciences rather they have conflict.. So my take have for that
