HI Guys!

Had my GD/PI Today. Here is my experience.

The whole process was very well organized, Though I reached 15 min late in morning but all process only started by 9 am

SIBM bangalore volunteers briefed us about SIBM vision thru nice ppt meanwhile we were sat in 5 groups a/c to our grp id. SIBM B started checking all required certificates, DO CARRY ALL XEROX AND ATTESTED COPY AS MENTIONED. At same time we were given number tag and file containing note pad and some cross word sort of puzzles. After completing PPT volunteer took us to GD panel. In my group out of 14 four people were absent.

GD:
In my GD panel Two ladies were there. We sat as per our number tag. They briefed us about the GD process then They asked one of the member of our group to pick the GD Topic chit from BOWL
Topic : Why our women are biased against other Women
The GD went smoothly and almost everybody spoke well. In the end they asked us to summaries it and speak.

afterwards they had given us as a SOP sheet , where three questions where thrown and you have to write answers in 10 mins
first was why MBA other was are two role models in your Life and the last one was WHY SIBM bangalore!!!

After GD we went back to same room and I went for certificate verification. If you don't have relieving letter of your company then you should carry your salary slip. Also do carry your all semester mark sheet and attested copies as well if you don't have get a letter from your college regarding your concern marks.

After that my group volunteer call me for PI. Again I went back to the same room where GD happened and same GD panelist where there for interview.

I was asked to pick one extempore topic and speak for two mins
my topic was very abstract " PRIDE and PREJUDICE " some how I collected my ideas and put it on them

Interview was a bit relaxed. I was asked usual question why MBA n all. they Grilled me on Why I have not gone for SIOM if I have interest in operation rest was normal question. But they were very inquisitive about Why SIBM bangalore and how it is going to help you in achieving your goal.
It ended in 15-20 min max.

All process was organized by seniors and it ended well for me.

Anyone who has already given interview at delhi centre please let me know if there were people who had not brought their original admit card? And if so, were they allowed to sit for interview??

You will be allowed conditionally. A letter shall be taken from you there at the venue..

So, dont think about that document now and prepare well for the process..

1.Presentation: SIU,SIBM-B

2.Document Verification

3.GD: Very Nice Topic,a good and a healthy discussion.Make sure not to make the GD a fish market and everyone must get a chance or be given a chance to speak.
Time:2 Minutes to think.
15 Minutes to discuss.

Then all of us summarized in 3-4 sentences,Not more than that and everybody was asked to do it in 3-4 sentences.

4.SOP:3 Questions easy ones.Anybody preparing for MBA interview must have prepared all the questions.
Time Given for SOP:10 Minutes.
When 1 minute was remaining it was announced by one of the panelists.

Same Panel for GD and PI(Extempore + PI)

5.Members in the Panel:- 3
RAPID FIRE ROUND for me.
M1(Middle Aged),
M2(Old and Very Very experienced Prof I suppose),
F1(A Silent Observer).

M1: Max Questions,especially Rapid Fire Round Questions and Counter Questions.
M2: Some Questions
F1: 1 Question.
As i have Work ex so plethora of questions.
Make sure you people know your company well.
Also all the General MBA questions.
I was asked same question in 3-4 different ways too.(Grilling basically)

PI Time:- 10-15 Minutes.

All in all good experience.

I was 1st in my Group.
So everything for me got over by 3 PM only.

Best way if you are coming from Delhi side (Akshardham Temple Road/Ghazipur) i.e. NH24, just continue on it for 2-3 kms when you enter Ghaziabad. Take a Right Turn from the first prominent Red Light (there are also direction boards which says, Noida on the right), then continue for 850 meters, and take second prominent left turn. Continue on that road and you'll find Symbiosis Campus on your left directly opposite the offices of Accenture and Nokia-Siemens.

If you are coming via metro, an auto either from Vaishali or Noida City Center would take the same amount (around Rs. 50/-)

Personal Interview:-

1.Tell me something interesting about yourself?
2.What do you intend to learn through your MBA?
3.Three best points about the Company you worked for ?
4.Counter Question:Your work timings are flexible,and we are very stringent,so you will get frustrated?
5.Three things you want to change in the company you worked in?
6.Why do you want to do an MBA?
7.How does SIBM-B will help you?
8.What is the impact of cancellation on 2G licenses on your company?
9.Which specialization you want?(I told them I don't want to biased towards any specialization)
10.Counter Question:That means you will not take your 2nd year seriously and will just enjoy?
11.Why did you leave your job?
12.What have you been doing this 1 year?
13.Counter Question:That means sitting idle for 1 year so you are already frustrated to an extent?
14.What have you learnt from your previous experience?
15.What are your short term and long term goals?(Don't remember the exact question but they wanted to ask this only? )
16.You could have continued your job you have got good work ex,is MBA really needed?
