Hey guys..... for those who have interviews tomorrow.... here's my GD PI experience...16 feb, 1 pm slot, NOIDA
Everything was very well organised. The seniors were very friendly and helpful.... Infact the interaction with them was amazing. We got an insight about Life @ SIBM B.... pretty cool...
Everything went very smoothly... the GDs started a bit late because of the rains.... 3 were absent from my group of 16... For the GD, we got two minutes to think, then the discussion was for 15 minutes, and in the end each one of us was asked to summarise in two three sentences. Our GD topic was... The two genders are different- Can they be considered equal? Fortunately, our GD was very civilized. Everyone got a chance to speak. 15 min is sufficient. After the GD, we were given a paper where we had to answer three questions in 10 minutes.... 1) Why a career in mangement 2) Two role models and their qualities you admire 3) why SIBM B?
Tip - Don't think too much and write fast... some ppl were not able to complete it.
Document verification went smoothly....
Interview
Same panel as GD.... 3 panelists... one lady and two gentlemen.... A good panel... they asked all the required questions and tried to corner me wherever possible... however.. it was NOT a stress interview.... the panel was really chilled out... they even cracked jokes in between....
general questions as to why MBA... why SIBM B.... career goals...... interview was about 10-20 minutes for everyone.... I was no. 13...so got free by 5;45
A good experience overall... A great college... I wish I get through... All the best to all of you.....

In the beginning of the interview, there's an exttempore.... you get to choose a chit..... you also have the option of changing the topic if you're not comfortable. My topic was - Tough situations don't stand out. Tough men do. (Not this exactly.... something like this)

My Experience………….
Location: SCMS, Noida
Date: 16th Feb, 1 P.M slot
The GEPI process started around 1:15 p.m. with attendance & distribution of "Aspirations" Kit(Containing Notepad, a pen, some puzzles, Director's message & an aspiration theory). Then Neeraj Gandhi, President of student council, presented the university & SIBM- B in an interactive way(liked the way he told us abt life@SIBM-B)
. He shared some facts like about 14000 applicants applied(shows the popularity of the Bschool) & only 1200 applicants have been called for interview & only 150 will be selected(getting there isn't easy). Another member answered all queries related to placements.
Then came the GD part…….
GD topic: The two genders are different- Can they be considered equal?
2min. to think & 15 min. to discuss & in the end we were asked to summarize in 2-3 sentences.
Group size was 16 however 3 were absent.
The best part was everyone got a chance to speak. I entered the GD 3-4 times.
Then Documents were verified(make sure you have photocopy of all documents including the original Admit card otherwise there is a photocopy shop at the ground floor).
Then came PI……
First there will be an extempore where you need to pick a chit, read the topic if you are comfortable then speak for 2 min. otherwise you can pick another chit but only once.
Extempore topic: Population Explosion ………
Spoke for around 3 min. then some cross questioning(mentioned demographic dividend that india has, population growth rate, what needs to be done, one child policy of china)………….
Have your role model done MBA? If no then why do u want to pursue an MBA?.............(Most Important question)
Lots of cross questioning. You have done well at HCL then why do u want to left & do a regular course….why not Part time…….Make sure you stick to your points.
Questions on work ex, Industry.
What is one thing your company would have done in order to retain you?
All in all very good Experience……
Hats off to seniors they were working since 7 a.m…….

i forgot to mention about SOP which happened after GD in which you need to answer three questions as mentioned by other Puys within 10 min......
The worst interview till date..
3 panelists all in their late 20's.
2 gentlemen and 1 lady. i am referring them as M-1 n M-2 and F for lady.
They grilled me on everything..
F - Are u nervous ?
me - to be honest yes mam i am.
F - is it a good sign ?
me -if a person is serious thn yes he/she do feel slight nervous which is good..
F -common i told the same thing to others..
F -why MBA ?
me - answered.
M1 - why SIBM B ?
me -since its one of the fastest developing colleges in INDIA so there are many things nt even for learning but also for implementing..
F -explain what is developing ?
me - Tried explaining that part but was interupted.
M2 -priortize the calls that u have .
me -IMT-G,IMI,SIBM B,FORE
F -why IMI over SIBM B ?
me -since its established one and hands more value in market .
F - but u said that u want to be a part of a developing college?
me - but IMI s also a developing college .
F -u r kiddin me IMI is established.
me -it is mam but it has grown at a higher pace in the last 5-6 yrs.
M2 - Why marketing ?
me -answered
F - name 2 marketing firms ?
me -answered 1 company name nt sure about othrs.
F -tell me what is off road vehicle (since i mentioned it as my hobby).

F -then go for M.TECH dn go for MBA ..
me - i am through abt its techncl part so i want to learn management abt which i am clueless right now.

me -nothing came to my mind so i just said salman khan ad of revital because that guy proudly says that he is using that product thts y he s endorsing it,shahrukh never says tht he uses fair n lovely.

me -mam i dont thnk so that it is worth of 90k or more .
they also grilled me on some othr questns also...
to sum up they proved me wrong on every ans and i was feeling worthless aftr tht

Seriously speaking, I think if you look at the website carefully, you can see our faculty's credentials, the industry exposure, student activities and achievements (we are winning newer things every other day) etc- Still, you always have the option of calling the Admissions team (Team Symbition) for any specific queries.
