make a time table fr urself. decide wat u wana do, ie CAT, SNAP, XAT etc or all. prepare accordingly. join sm classes if u want. take it easy u gt time on ur side.
When are the snaps held and what sort of stuffs are required for it and what is the process after it .
SNAP is held in the month of december each year. Stuff required is same as any regular MBA entrance exam. YOu ill be tested on quantitative,Verbal and logical aptitude along with general knowledge.
Once the exam is done you will be called by various colleges under SIU, to which you have separately applied ,subject to your performance, for GE/PI. Post this round you will get final admission , again subject to ur performance.

If I may answer this The no of people selected in the first list would obviously be same as the total intake. The first waitlist will come out after the date of payment for first list expires. No of people in the waitlist will again depend on number of people in the first shortlist who do not confirm their admission.

Thanks... one more query as we know that SIBM Pune is the first one to give results... so some mite leave it later for if they think they hv btr calls(IIMs etc) so the waitlist wud be dynamic... sori for this premature queries i m just trying to be optimistic for myself 😃

So are there new waiting lists given out after every deadline of payment of fees?.
I mean how do we know that we are in with a chance. And is there a waiting list going to be declared with the admissions list tomorrow itself?And are the overall marks and the cutoffs declared also?
Hi sid , as was waiting to know for the further process after snap.
Well symbiosis has almost 20-30 colleges in its fold. U have to apply to each of these colleges separately. U can apply to as many as u like. this has to be done apart from registering for the snap test itself. This year I applied for snap(1500 bucks) nd for 3 colleges under it(1000 for each). So its upon u how many colleges u wana apply to. Some colleges have their deadline for application bfr the snap exam itself(these are generally the top2 or 3 colleges) and the rest have after the snap test is conducted.
Now once the snap is conducted, u cana expect the result in 25-30 days. After the results are out, each college comes out with its cutoffs. This may take another 10 days. Now if u clear the cutoff for a particular college and if u have applied to it in the first place then u are called for GD-PI. Now again each college may have its separate processes but broadly speaking there is an interview, a group process which may be a GD or some group exercise or both, and a written exercise like an essay. Now this was the process this year, there may be some changes for next year...
Now once u are done with ur gds and pi each college then comes up with the final list of selected students. For example SIBM -P willl come out with its list tommorow. Then depending upon the number of people who opt for the college there will be a waiting list and then another one and so on untill the seats get exhausted.

If u leave u just have to inform the office.Your fees, minus the charges for pre induction course ware and administrative charges as allowed under AICTE norms,will be refunded. However once u cancel the admission, your candidature will not be considered. The query is not premature and ATB for all your calls

Yes,as deadline for payment expires a new waitlist will come out.Towards the later stages calls are given at a rolling basis, typically after 2 waitlists. However there are procedural changes depending on the number of admissions and cancellations and so on. Yes a waiting list will be declared tomorrow. I cannot at this point answer your last question. We did not receive our scores of the GE PI round. The batch before us did. You will either get a selected message or a waitlist no and message or a regret message. Guys with regrets who subsequently make it to waitlists will be informed via mail and the same will also be updated on the website. So guys who get a regret message shudn't get disheartened. As they say it it isnt over till the fat lady sings

The average salary for the 2011 bacth was 10.67 lacs. You can check the placement details on the website. Placement data for the 2012 batch is confidential as of now.
That SCMHRD is particulary good for HR is a myth and i dont understand how it has originated. SCMHRD is a great college and it has been doing well in all the branches. Besides HR at SIBM is one of the best as well and is recognized in the industry. So folks interested in HR or those in other specializations , dont judge colleges by their names.Do some ground work , speak to people in industry ,alumni or MBA students before you make conclusions.
