Does Indian cinema shape our popular culture or merely reflect it?
Which country churns out maximum number of movies? This will the one of the easiest question to answer. It is India. India, as we all know, is a multi lingual, multi cultural country which is extremely diverse. It has 22 official languages and most of which has an independent cine-industry! Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood, Bollywood and what not! Each one puts out 2-3 movies every weekend and many more during festivities. This brings us to the question whether our cinema industry shapes our culture or is a mere reflection of it.

Movie making is a dicey business. Winner takes it all! We have seen low budget movies with good stories make 10 times more money than they have invested. We have also seen big budget movies with big starcast flop at the box office. So every maker wants to be successful. The makers will portray some real life situations and exaggerate some situations which will happen only in cinemas.

Indian cinema - a reflection
Most movies revolve around issues which most of us face in day to day life. It may portray police and politicians as corrupt but that is true to some extent. One can find a news about corruption atleast once in two days in any news medium. Corruption is rampant in our society which is reflected in our movies.

Most of our movies revolve around family issues, societal issues and other things that plague our country. It is a reflection of our society.

Indian Cinema - a shaping tool
Indian cinema may not be classified only as a mere reflection. It is also a shaping tool. It shapes the way we think about our societal problems. It gives us different perspectives. Movies which are made on issues like women empowerment do well in box office. It helps a man understand the problems that women face in our society. Different issues are highlighted in our movies on different scales - from subtle to overt manner. It also imbibes the idea that good will eventually win over the bad. It teaches us moral lessons.
It shapes in both good and bad ways. While some movies carry a social message in most romantic movies, the hero stalks a heroine, follows her everywhere, teases her, finally she falls in love with the same guy?! This is being followed by youngsters who cause trouble to girls. SO movies do shape our culture both in a good and a bad way

Conclusion:After looking at both the arguments, it is safe to conclude that Indian movies both shape our popular culture and reflect it. India, even in ancient times is known for its story telling. So its no wonder we churn out so many movies. Movies should continue to reflect the problems in our society and should shape the society to face such problems. Such move should be encouraged by us and our govt.

Implications of Globalisation for India
Globalisation has several definitions in several fields of study. In economics, it is called as linking the local economy with the global economy. But let us try to come to a simpler definition. Globalisation is a process which makes the world more connected. It aims to make the globe as 'one connected village'. When did this start? Though trade relations between the countries existed even in ancient times, the globalisation was mainly propelled by exponential increase in foreign trade of all countries after World War II.

India was denied industrialisation before independence and after independence we were a bit skpetical about Globalisation and foreign trade. But after 1992, we joined the global growth story. We are major economic giant now. Thanks to globalisation. Now, lets delve on certain implications on globalisation on India.

Positives
1) Economic growth- Before 1992, India grew below 4% which is termed as hindu growth rate by the world media. With the help of globalisation we where able to access huge foreign capital. This propelled our growth to such an extent that we in top two best growing countries and is well poised to replace China for the top position.

2) Service sector - Due to the huge social capital available in our country, we were able compete well in the services department. Most of the business operations are being outscourced to India which help us multifold.

3) Opening up our country, helped us to be in update with the modern techonlogical developments. Our young generation now has access to all the advance technology that is created all over the world.

Negatives
1) In this era of economic unity, countries with more capital might try to dominate other countries. The best example one can give is 'The Big Brother' U.S.A . The countries which have huge capital and market can impose economic sanctions on countries (example Iran) and cripple their economies. This economic warfare was followed on India when we went nuclear. We, being a peaceful country promised not to use nukes first still the West imposed sanctions with did affect our economy

2) Capital flight - Inconsiderate economic policies by Federal reserve can cause capital flight in our country. This weakens our rupee and affects our import choices.

3) Westernisation - With big budget Hollywood films projecting western way of life, Indian values like joint family system, are taking a hit

Conclusion
It is safe to conclude that the Globalisation is like a twin edged sword. It can help us and it can hurt us. It is upto to the government and the vigilant civil society to filter imperlialistic ideas like Facebooks free basics and enjot the fruits that the globalisation can offer.

Finally gave OB mock 1.

Implications of globalization on India

These days the one of the most frequently used words is globalisation. World views have divided into whether globalisation is beneficial or its is a threat to nations. The root word in globalisation is globe which means it covers the whole world and not individual countries. Globalization is basically integrating the nation's economy with world economy and turn the whole world in to one global village with one unified market..

Since the time immemorial people have been searching for new geographical regions for exploration, travel recreation in earlier time. But today the main aim of globalisation is to search for new markets for business , jobs and new sources to feed countries growing industries.

India was  more of a closed economy before 1992 scared from going global because of the scares British dominance on our land. However dues to rising sovereign debt, India was forced to open its economy and liberalise and privatise its trade. There has been a tremendous growth since then and world view of India has been change.India which  was believed to be a land of snake charmers is now viewed a land of highly technical and skilled man force.

Though the globalisation brings economic development for nation and material prosperity to citizen raising their standard of living but at the cost of self reliance ,spiritual and cultural deterioration.
With Integration of the nations's market with world market a country loses its self sustaining power and gradually becomes dependent on other countries for meeting its demand of raw materials, technology, labour , and market. This is the reason that a recession in one part of globe affect other parts quite severely which was seen in great depression of 1929 and subprime crisis 2007-08.This was economic impact but the impact on culture is irreversible.

India has been a cradle of many rich civilizations which has contributed to a lot in weaving a diversified culture with different languages, art, dance, music ,clothing, foods items, architecture etc.But today the  punch holes of westernization can easily been seen in our composite culture.
Todays youth our more excited about valentine's and friendship day then diwali, holi , eid and other pujas, greeting of namaste are being replaced with Hello and hi. Traditional food items have been replaced with italian, continental and chinese. Traditional dhoti kurta and sarees have been replaced with shirts and trousers and mini skirts respectively.Only English is the preferred languages these days.Smoking and drinking were prohibited in our culture but are common nowadays as today's generation view them as stress relievers.

Thus the implications of globalisation on our country has been both positive and negative. On one hand we are on the path of becoming next economic superpower and at the same time we are losing our beautiful culture at the hands of globalization. Thus the government and civil society must come forward and make efforts to minimize the negative influence of globalization on our society and preserve our culture for coming generations too.

Terrorism and world peace:

Peace is a thing which everyone , every state, every country , whole world wants because it is a natural want of every human being and nature also want the same but we do not live in so called ideal world where every thing is perfect and follow the nature's rule so here there are some element who are always having agitated mind and they want to create inefficiencies in the society for their personal gain. When these elements take any violent step like killings, bombing, suicide bombers attack or any dreadful attack which create fear in the minds of civilian for their personal gain ,it may be called as terrorism. The personal gain can be anything for example it can be to spread their ideology,it can be like if anyone go beyond their ideology,it could be political gain or for the larger extent it could be to rule over the world.

The word Terrorism was first came into existence during french revolution 1792-93 when the phrase "the reign of terror" is used. The definition of terrorism is not comprehensive and widespread through out the world countries and it is different for different countries. So united nation came with a common definition terrorism is an act of violence which create a disturbance in the society and psychological fear in the minds of civilians for achieving their personal objective or goals and these goals could be anything like it could be ideology spread, political gain or rule the world.

Terrorism is increasing day by day since last two decades. There are so many terrorist organization came into existence in which some of important organization are Al-Quada, Boko Haram, ISIS etc. These organizations are now a days active in different parts of the world. Boko Haram exist in Nigeria (Africa),ISIS in the Syria (West Asia). There are so many incidence happened in the past which stir the peace of the world countries, taken by these groups. Incedents like Peshawar School children Killings (Pakistan)2014,Demolition of World Trade centre(USA) 2001, Mumbai Taj attack (India)2008,and most recent Paris attack Nov 2015 and there are many more such incident happened in which thousands of innocent lost their lives and many got injured and it creates a very dangerous environment in the society.

So the time has come when the world country should unite and stand up together against any type of terrorism because now it is threat to every world countries and that is why United nation should also come with some common law and platform for every world countries to fight against terrorism and create an environment of peace and harmony.

Please review friends and give suggestions.
