Any experienced student here who has cleared any GD? I have came across a GD topic that Is management art or science? Actually it is both. So can I talk in the favour of both?or is it necessary to stick to only one!

PS. I post this question to GD thread but they advised to ask some GD experienced person. Kindly help.

i want to know whether we have to use Pen (if so Blue or Black) or Pencil for filling up the form as it is not mentioned anywhere in the prospectus as well as on the form.


Pls use a pen..black or blue depends on you

No. Its a debate bt a discussion where its nt advised to take a stand initial in the GD. Infact if u can highlight relevant points n both the sides as in this case thn ur case becomes stronger.

I thnk u can because graduates in agri related discipline can apply for the course n biotech wud fall in tht category. Moreover i wud suggest tht u shud tke a chance even if u r unsure rather thn feeling sorry later on

I believe tht there wud be some industry related to telecommuniation. If there isnt thn as Pradeep said put as "others"

Well the options listed are:
banking and finance
FMCG
BPO
Manufacturing
Software/IT
Others

btw.. I tried putting others as an option and submitting the form, I am getting the error message :
correct the following errors
Select state
select graduation stream
select graduation stream

Although I have rechecked and filled all these options.
and there is no header as "state"

Frm the info u have given, others seems to be the most suitable option. N "state" can be one of the entries in ur address. If nthn happens and error persists thn 2 thngs can be done- one is tht u ask somebdy frm ur grp who has filled form for siib or secondly u can reset whole of the form and start filling the form frm the scratch and thn submit it.

I did notice that the state entry was a part of the address..
I got a final page which asked me to recheck my entries and only the "state" option does not seem to be updated.. rest everything was. Tried doing it a couple of times but its showing me the same results. I guess that shudnt be a problem. Rest I got a confirmation that the entry has been received. :)

The application form has a blank wherein we have to mention the mode of obtaining the form. I got it from a PT centre. Should I write 'OTHERS', like I did in case of online registration, or do I write the name 'PT EDUCATION' ?

Yes we dn have companies like Goldman Sachs and Iocl visitin our campus till now bt they may be visting next year. Bt even in their absence, our placements are very gud if not excellent. N goin by the worries u r having since day1 abt the lowest salaries being offered, it shudnt be a prob for u.
Various consultancy firms visit pur campus e.g. Accenture, Capgemini, Delloite etc

varun sir,although i am not exactly an expert but I think you could do without giving explanations on small issues. Dear puys, at this stage, it is better to look for an insti that gives us the choice of getting our desired profiles at the time of placements.. money will follow automatically.
SIIB offers the freedom for us to draft our career path, and that should be enough for any candidate.
And the money being offered isnt that less!
I read in some article on PG that during placements, the focus nowadays is more on fetching the right kind of profile than the money.

I am happy to find some support for us.. 4 a reputed institute like SIIB, worrying abt pay package is nt the rt thng to do as money will follow provided u work enough during the study course at SIIB. Moreover its a beginning of the career and nt the end of it where one shudnt be worried if its 50k more or less.

N talkn abt pay packages, many a times its an eye wash from the side of the companies visitn the campus. Factors like medical insurance, cost of loans to the company , hefty variable components etc are included to make the pay packages fat enough to attract the students whch aspiring students dn understand.

Gud thngs wil follow if smbdy is willing to wrk hard.

can neone guide me how do i apply for SIIB...since i was not in town i came back jus today n came to know tat last date is approachng so plz puys help me put how do i go abt to apply for SIIB as i hv no clue.....wat to do after online registeratn......do i need to purchase the form or after online registeratn i jus need to send a DD????
