SIIB Guys
Please advise
I hav brot the form from IMS. But it was not mentioned anywhere the necessary documents needs to attach with?Kya bhejna hai form k saath me???
Shall i have to send the form along with prospectus??I mean both form and prospectus bhejna hai kya??

can neone guide me how do i apply for SIIB...since i was not in town i came back jus today n came to know tat last date is approachng so plz puys help me put how do i go abt to apply for SIIB as i hv no clue.....wat to do after online registeratn......do i need to purchase the form or after online registeratn i jus need to send a DD????

Hi,

Pls refer to this..

There are two stages for applying to SIIB.

Register for SIIB online at Welcome to SIIB. Last date for registration 5th January 2008.
Purchase the SIIB Prospectus & submit the application form enclosed with the Prospectus to SIIB by 5th January 2008.

The prospectus can be purchased from any of the coaching institutes or u may send a DD for Rs 1200 to SIIB office for getting the prospectus delivered to u at the address mentioned by u.

Kindly check the SIIB website if u have any more concerns

for applying to SIIB,
1. register online. that is a must..
2. if u have bought the brochure from any coaching center, then also u have to register online and send only the form to SIIB.
3. if u want to get brochure from SIIB, send dd to siib and u'll get the brochure.but in all cases, plzz do not forget to register urself online at SIIB website...

Hi Nisha,

You are not supposed to send any documents with the application form..just send the form along with the self-addressed stickers..and Why shall u send the 'prospectus' with the form ??

...that is for ur reference

does siib have international placements if so what is the payment package and how many got the international placements pls information needed and i cant get it anywhere in the siib site but some site told siib had 3 international placement is it true? seniors pls advice?

seniors i have some queries regarding the form -: i purchased it from time and while filling up the online form i clicked on "siib" in the case of form procurement . now while going through this thread i found that it should be "others" . now i cannot change it , when i am trying to change it , i cant log into the siib form page. please help , will my application get cancelled.

i think u can change it coz the last date is jan 5 right? till then u can make modifications on the site

u should have remembered the pass and id correctly dude all i can say is call up the siib guys and get it clarified if u r in a must do situation then go to siib personally all i can say is this seniors any advice?

dude i have the id and mail correctly and as far i know we dont have nay password.........but still when i am entering the details its says wrong id or mail...or either it is coming back to the page again....but with it i can login to my snap home page...please help

Hello...

I am happy to find some support for us.. 4 a reputed institute like SIIB, worrying abt pay package is nt the rt thng to do as money will follow provided u work enough during the study course at SIIB. Moreover its a beginning of the career and nt the end of it where one shudnt be worried if its 50k more or less.

N talkn abt pay packages, many a times its an eye wash from the side of the companies visitn the campus. Factors like medical insurance, cost of loans to the company , hefty variable components etc are included to make the pay packages fat enough to attract the students whch aspiring students dn understand.

Gud thngs wil follow if smbdy is willing to wrk hard.

i was also told something like this that companies try to entangle guys into the 'money web' during placements, diverting the focus from other more important issues.

does SIIB prefers profile with International exp.?

If yes , how SIIB would come to know whether the no. of months of exp. is intl or domestic?.....that means no difference between International and domestic exp. ...?

Relax...no issues if u can't change it now..this will certainly not lead to any disqualification of ur form

Just mention ur work-ex as no. of years and months..for eg. '1 year 4 months' and choose ur relevant sector/industry.

SIIB prefers candidates with work-ex...but there's no discrimination between domestic or international work experience as such...u get equal weightage for both at the time of short-listing for GD/PI.. but if u do have int'l experience then it wud be an added advantage at the time of PI in my opinion :)

We had rocking placements this year...u can read more abt them in this post from Sri...Placements

Meanwhile,the official placement report wud be out soon where u'll get to know the figures etc. :)

many ppl keep onasking bout placement scenario this yr... though its available on this thread itself..
once again im posting... have a look..
the list given here is not detailed one..
detailed list of companies along with packages details will be put up shortly..
but placement really rocked this time......

AB and IB together out of 170 students 160 placed on Day Zero

Besides the regular companies that used to come this year we had Citi Bank, Stan Chart, PWC, Cap Gemini, HDFC, Orchid Pharma Etc

Regulars include Accenture, ITC, Infosys, Wipro, Godrej, Boyce, IMRB, Danfoss, Deloite, Eicher Motors, Tata motors, Irevna, DE Shaw, Darashaw, Pidilite,Bosch,Nerolac,Asian Paints,ICICI,Monsanto to name a few...

As you can see the companies were from various sectors BFSI, Mktg, Consultancy, Agri Business and Retail

Over the years SIIB has strengthened its relationship with its recruiters and would continue to do so

the highest salary was 14 lac per annum...

For the batch of 2006 - 08, the Campus Recruitment process started on Monday, 10th December 2007 at 8:30 a.m and continued till 4:30 p.m on Tuesday, 11th December 2007.

The highlight of this year's process was that 160 out of a total of 170 students got placed on the day 'zero'

A total of 42 companies recruited MBA - IB students and 11 companies recruited MBA - AB students from sectors like BFSI, IT / ITES, Research and Consultancy, Manufacturing etc.
The highest package offered on campus was Rs. 14 lakhs p.a.
