wanna go ahead with mba(ib) from siib..
shud i apply?
wat r my chances of gettin at least a gd/pi call?
:
plz do reply
thanx!

Ur score is gud. I wud suggest u shud apply. I wud like to clarify smthn 4 everybdy's benefit. The idea of giving prefernce to engineers etc and to work ex ppl is same as addn weightage to certain CV attributes whch was done even lasst year also. The only change is that this year it has been stated more clearly. So any non engineer /CA guy or a fresher excepting a gud score as in this case shudnt worry abt the call.

Thanks vindsome. That means I need to open the envelope and paste the photograph. This will damage the envelope which was provided along with the form. Is there any problem if I send them the form in an ordinary envelope?

1.Fill the form.
2.Enclose the preference sheet.
3.Send it.

Is my understanding right?
Do we have to fill or register anything online? (if so please provide the URL)
What all should be enclosed? Any certificate or snap ID card xerox should be sent?

Hello
The GD/PI round is quite comprehensive in nature and tests a candidate on various fronts.
I starts with a case study grp discussion round. Thn a grp task activity is there where in abiliy to wrk in a grp is checkd. A written communication round where in a candidate has to pen down few lines on a given topic. Finally there is an interview whch is generally 1 on 1. Generally no stress interviews are conducted

The details to all this will be given and queries taken once the list is out.

Happy new year to everybody

Varun

Hi
While registering online one has to enter total work ex but it is not mentioned till what date one has to count. Should i count my work -ex till my date of registration......
While entering percentage its not mentioned whether we have to round off.
Mine is 70.7 in engg . Should i enter 71 or 70

Hi,

SIIB do give importance to ur previous academic records. More over cut off depends upon the difficulty of SNAP Exam. I will suggest you to go ahead and fill the form.

Punit
SIIB 05-07

Hi all,

I am from SIIB 05-07 batch and I am already into corporate world from last 1 year. I am currently working with IBM and I am sitting beside guy from IIMs and S P Jains and at the end of month, we all fetch the same figure(And its pretty good).

I hope this real picture from corporate world with help you to take your decisions more wisely. I think u should understand one simple thing, all the reputed companies go to all the reputed institutes. But than the game is all about what kind of profile they are offering and are we guys capable enough to crack the company?

Hey I can assure as alumini of SIIB that you will get at least 20 companies at SIIB who will pay you more than what you have expected but than again every thing lies on you.

Hey Varun, I hope this facts will help.

Punit
SIIB 05-07

Hello...

I am happy to find some support for us.. 4 a reputed institute like SIIB, worrying abt pay package is nt the rt thng to do as money will follow provided u work enough during the study course at SIIB. Moreover its a beginning of the career and nt the end of it where one shudnt be worried if its 50k more or less.

N talkn abt pay packages, many a times its an eye wash from the side of the companies visitn the campus. Factors like medical insurance, cost of loans to the company , hefty variable components etc are included to make the pay packages fat enough to attract the students whch aspiring students dn understand.

Gud thngs wil follow if smbdy is willing to wrk hard.

Varun

SIIB is more transparent !!!!

The SNAP score calculation is already revealed

Verbal Ability 20%
Quantitative Ability 20%
Date Interpretation & Data Sufficiency 20%
Business Awareness 15%
Analytical & Logical Reasoning 25%

But, SNAP had only 4 sections..
so how would they differentiate.

Also is the preference the same as last year?? i.e. Engineer +2, CA +3 etc.

Work-Ex +1,+2,+3(max.) for that many years of work-ex....

The over-all weightage of SNAP test in final selection is reduced from 40% to 20%...(if i can recollect correctly)

Implications and Explanations from Seniors are welcome....

Great move... must admit...

Wishing all the aspirants a very happy and prosperous New Year
Hope u celebrate ur next new year@ SIIB

Cheers !!!
