HI pradeep,i guess ur the only senior online now...so im directly putting the question to u....Is it true that weightages to diff sections r there this year while evaluating the snap score...coz in the previous posts wen many peopie had asked the same ques ...u guys had told that there was no weightage given to any section...is the ans to the ques same now or r any sectional weightages being introduced this year....plz reply....

I will explain SIIB's method. Let us say ur overall score in SNAP is 85 and SIIB's cut off is 80. Now at this point your score is above SIIB's cut off so you will get GD/PI call from SIIB. At this level your sectional score does not play any role.
After you are selected for GD and PI, SIIB again calculates your score with different weightage to different sections, in that case you may end up having score of 80 or 90. Now as far I think this new score which SIIB calculates affect your final selection but it does not affect your call for GD and PI.
This is what I understand, Please guys correct me if I am wrong.

can anybody suggest me that gettin a score around 60-65 in snap
and 74.7% in 10th , 86.1 % in 12th , 58.8 % in BE [ EEE ] would get a call from siib , i have some ex-curricular activities like paper presentation , drama competiton , event organisation .

I am not aware of any such weightages given to difft sections in SNAP

Hi Guys,
I have a couple of clarifications
I bought the form from IMS. Filled the form, Wrote my address in the stickers, Extra DD for 1200(For Agri Business Mgt), Enclosed my IMS receipt. Posted it too...
But now with ppl discussing about the Online thing I tried to login with my Snap ID and Mail ID. Filled my personal details, educational details and Workex details, Chose the two courses and submitted the same...
Is that All or any other thing that has to be done in Online...???
Also is there any way to check the SIIB office if our application form has reached???
Please help me out in this regard..

hey for agri business u shud have grad degree in the same to b eligible.... n u have to send a dd seperately for agri buz if ur ticking that too along with IB... u read the prospestus... u'll get all details....

And its not true at all that there r only engineers/CAs in our batch 2007-09..only abt 50 % r engineers..( which btw is a trend at almost all leading b-skools ) ..other students in our batch r frm various backgrounds like commerce,arts,humanities etc.:)

I could find that in the brochure I downloaded from the SIIB web-site.
Also since I had the call last year, I quoted some of the information I had.
Going to buy the form tomorrow after IRMA test result. So can't say whether or not it is provided in the prospectus or not.
Also as I find that
i) Cut-off from SNAP
ii) Short-list on SNAP Score
ii) Then SIIB score (Why, now?)
If at all, SIIB does come up at it's own score, it should be for shortlisting the candidates, not for Ranking them afterwards.
Corfirm the developments and act accordingly.

I tried with ur details and I am getting the same problem with ur snap is and mail id. Better u ask to SIIB office and inquire for ur problem. Mail id is: [email protected] They will immediately reply to ur query.:)

Pls make sure that you are entering the same email address to login now that u've used to register at this site earlier...it maybe different from the one that u used to register from SNAP...if you are still unable to login,PM me with error mssg details..i'll check with admissions team tomorrow
