What do you all feel about getting a call from SCMHRD.

Hi Folks
I have a score of 61 in SNAP !

I have 22 months of work-ex in Infosys, but not working currently..
My acads r as follows :-

10th - 90.5 %
12th - 79.4 %
Mechanical Engineer - 77.2 %

I have been involved in sports in school and college and won prize for dance competition in college.
I have also been involved in event management ( cultural fest, etc ).

What chance do i stand with SIIB !!!!!

response would be highly appreciated !!

hi guyz...this thread has been so busy so much that i could'nt post my scroes...

i got overall of 72 😞 10 marks less than expected....all lost in english...
well the score is
eng 10.5
QA/DI 17.25
LR 32
GK 12.5

overall 72
acads:
10th 90.8
12th 79.8
B.E. (so far) 84.3
in Electronics and communication
i have gud acad records and this time total number of marks are also less..
so mr. pradeep..i think i am on border line...keeping my fingers crossed..
applying to SIIB has been a rollercoaster ride for me so far...
should i be optimistic??

lemme clarify.....

i have BE(Food Processing Technology) background.... i.e. Agri-Related Background....

i had the call last year... could not convert...

i hope smthng better is in store 4 me.....

wut bout the individual forms 4 IB/AB... wut ws the ratio last year??

I thnk many of the guys here have nt read the eligibility criteria for AB course. Eligibilty: Graduate in Agri Sciences or Agri related discipline from any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks at Graduate level. Also Non Agri graduates from any statutory University with minimum 50% (for SC / ST Categories: 45%) marks at Graduate level having work experience in agribusiness. @ maulik- if i understand it correctly, u wnt be eligible for AB course

I also wanted to know if SIIB has a tie-up with any nationalized bank, like SCMHRD has SBI, to provide loans to students?

Hi Akhil,

you have a gud profile..the only hurdle that may come between u and a GD/PI call is ur SNAP score..as its a bit on the lower side.

Please eleborate on the GD/PI procedure of SIIB. Also please specify the weightages on SNAP score, work ex, accademics etc.

There would be 4 stages in the GD/PI process

Written Essay
Group task
Group Discussion
Personal Interview

The Group Discussion will be based on a case study, which will be followed by personal interview. The Group Test would evaluate the soft skills required in a managerial position and the written communication would evaluate the ability to write concisely & coherently.

Final Selection:

The final selection of students will be based on the performance in Phase I and Phase II.

The weightage will be as follows:
SNAP Test-30%
Group Discussion-25%
Interviews-25%
Written Communication-10%
Group Test-10%

I havent come across anythn like a formal tie up with a bank to provide loans. Bt many of the students of my batch including myself have taken student education loan. There is nt much difficulty in gettn the same once u get thru the college.

Ur profile luks gud and makes it a fair chance of making it thru.
