SIIB Admissions 2008 HelpDesk

sir i hav got 56.25 marks in snap what r my chances for siib plz reply me

u have a very good chance of making through

The weightages added to your SNAP scores are as follows :

For average graduation performance: Above 80% - 3 marks, 70% to 80% - 2 marks,60% to 70% - 1 mark.

For fulltime work experience @ 1 mark per year subject to a maximum of 3 marks.

For Educational Background : CA / ICWA - 4 marks, Engineers / B.Sc (Agri) - 3 marks ,
Electronics / Computers / Food Technology - 2 marks.

i have done Bachelors in business management which seems of no use to me now...i'm getting zero marks for it. its really pathetic to see an MBA college not givin preference to BBA students. N BTW wats dis - rating people acc to their academic background , do they wanna say CA people shud be doin MBA first, if seats are left then engineers and so on......

Dear pagals,
The information provided by hemdeep (see above post) seems to be true. Following information is clearly given on the SIIB website on URL: Welcome to SIIB

Preference: Engineering graduates, graduates from disciplines like Pharmacy, CA / CFA / ICWA / CS (completed) will be given preference. Work experience (full time) of more than one year will be granted preference, subject to verification of copies of work experience certificates (on company letter head for the claimed period).

The break up mentioned is correct one as follwed last year. N buddy, its no point comparing wht other institutes do and wht they dnt. Every college has its own policy and checks to screen the candidates. The subject knowledge frm ur graduation has direct impact during campus interviews at various stages. That is y prime consideration for Graduation score and stream

it is the panel that should answer that question & not me...pls think before wat u say..

arey why are u getting hot?? groaning and all? anyway, just imagine u get an SIIB call and u r sitting before the PI panelists and one of them asks u for ur opinion about B-schools giving preference to engineers. if they ask u to rationalize such a policy then what r u going to say?
