Electronics / Computers / Food Technology - 2 marks

according to the cut-offs and criteria of weightages given...the lowest score which would have got a call last yr was 66.75...
Am i rite seniors??
But i have a score of 63.75 with 27months of work ex as s/w engg and well above 80% in graduation...now i see no hope for SIIB... 😞

@ anusheel
thankss ...

The break up mentioned is correct one as follwed last year. N buddy, its no point comparing wht other institutes do and wht they dnt. Every college has its own policy and checks to screen the candidates. The subject knowledge frm ur graduation has direct impact during campus interviews at various stages. That is y prime consideration for Graduation score and stream

:(

I guess my point was not well taken.. all i was trying to say was prob 60% of one university might be equivalent to 80% of anothers..

And yes.. i agree with what varun mentioned about the subject knowledge playing imp role during interviews and all.. :)

nevermind.. chuck it.. all the best to everyone for their calls..

Cheers

Hey..

Dnt lose ur hope buddy. The talks carried out on this thread is largely based on last year cutoffs and views taken frm various sources. Bt this no where says tht the cutoffs can't be lower frm last year. The cutoffs are nt decided by the institutes but by the scores and profiles of students applying to the college.

Ur work ex is above 2 yrs whch gives u considerable advantage over many others. Its mentioned on college's web site tht preference wil be given to candidates with wrk ex of >1 yr. Cheer up and hope for the best

Hello..

We appriciate ur concerns bt picture this. Even in 10th n 12th the kind of marks a student score depends on whch board he is passing from. Everybdy doesn't pass frm CBSE/ICSE.

Similarly the kind of marks whch a student wil get under Mumbai univ wil differ frm tht of Panjab Univ. Its difficult to score 60% in certain courses from DU. The complications can go on and on. That is y prime importance is given to the scores whch wil prime importance whn u sit for ur summers and final interviews once u get selected.

Hope it buries al the queries on this issue

are baba, previous year, the exam was of 200 marks. this year it was of 180 marks.
Besides who knows how many have applied for SIIB. It mostly depends upon the applications received.
remember one thing, till the time u didn't loose, u r a winner. so be happy.

Dear Experts,

The same criteria as that of last year will be followed this year too or there are some changes? Earlier some puys were talking about sectional weightages. Is this also going to be included amongst one of the criteria? Please throw some light on these issues, if possible. Thanks a lot in advance.

even the tarots can't predict this. 6 more days to go. the only thing you can do as of now is to pray and wait.
