I am a candidate for SIIB-IB Program for the 2008-2010 batch. I have the following query regarding the Admission procedure:-
-The prospectus reads " one should have completed graduation in one seating". Does this mean candidates with a year back in graduation won't be elligible or does this applies to even those candiates who had compartments during graduation that were cleared within the due minimum term/period of graduation (like 3years for Undergrauate prog., 4 years for BE, etc)?
I would be grateful if you could throw some light on this issue.
Thanking you.
Your's sincerely

goodness .. this is sad yaar.. for a guy like me who's flunked once in graduation this comes as a big blow.. as though the one year i lost wasn't enough punishment. and what's more ridiculous is that one has to first spend 1200 rs to buy the admission form, only to realize that the form is useless for him. crazy! this should have been mentioned in the advertisement/emails. with a 77.5 in snap i was optimistic about an SIIB call, what the heck!!!!

The website says that the calls will start today...whats the procedure...

It all depends on the total score cut-off. Last time it was 76.75. If you don't get a call, I also won't get a call as my total score is 71. Hope you get a call and of course me too!!! :smilecol:
You will surely get the SIIB call
best of luck

1.75 higher than the previous year cut-off in spite of their new campus in Bangalore. That means people have scored on a higher side this time or may be number of candidates taking SNAP has increased unexpectedly. My hopes of SIIB also almost finished!!! I though this time cut-off will be lower for SIIB. However, going by the trends, cut-off will be even higher.

The ans to all queries of these kinds have been wel adressed in the initial pages of the thread. Flunking one or 2 exams during the course of ur graduation wnt affect ur chances in SIIB. Bt completing a 3 yr course in 4 yrs wil definately will. N i thnk nw al these kind of fears shud be buried. Al u guys shud prepare for GD/PI n nt speculate abt thngs whch cant be worked arnd with

Dear Pradeep,
Can you please let us know what is approximately the number of students called per seat? I mean there are 120 seats of MBA-IB and how many candidates in all may be called approximately for these 120 seats? SCMHRD calls around 2500 candidates for its 240 seats i.e. approximately 10 students compete for a single seat. What is this ratio for SIIB?
Hi Varun,
The exact no. of calls to be given are not known but the ratio wud be more or less the same i.e 10:1 (no.of calls given to no. of seats )
Regards,
Pradeep
