Wat about X and XII marks. I think weightage is given to them also.
No weightage to X and XII marks dude. Please refer around 5 pages back on this forum. You will get to know in detail. Basically SIIB has provided weightage to those parameters which are considered the most while placements. Graduation marks are considered almost always for placements while your X and XII marks may not be considered.

hey Pradeep, what abt the people man, who are working and have to travel to pune. it will be a bit difficult.
yes we do understand that...thats the reason why GD/PI wud be conducted only on fri,sat n sun...u may have to take 1 or 2 leaves if u r working..but its worth it,right ?
Plz let us know till what ranks SIIB gives calls. Like SCMHRD they say they first select 4000 top students out of which 2000 based on profile are selected. As far as I know a person getting a score of 64 (Open Category) got a call for SCMHRD. This means he has made it in top 4000. If this is to follow cutoffs may be lower than 64. If SIIB gives calls to ranks greater than 4000. I hope I m clear.....
Well..the process for selection is pretty easy...Aggregate scores (i.e SNAP score+weightages for difft. parameters ) of all the candidates who have applied to SIIB are calculated and arranged in descending order..now students are short-listed on the basis of above list...lets say if 800 calls are to be given for GD/PI,then top 800 candidates from the above list are short-listed
So nobody knows for sure till what last rank the calls will be issued..it all depends upon the no. of applicants

Dear Pradeep,
Can you please let us know what is approximately the number of students called per seat? I mean there are 120 seats of MBA-IB and how many candidates in all may be called approximately for these 120 seats? SCMHRD calls around 2500 candidates for its 240 seats i.e. approximately 10 students compete for a single seat. What is this ratio for SIIB?
I am a candidate for SIIB-IB Program for the 2008-2010 batch. I have the following query regarding the Admission procedure:-
-The prospectus reads " one should have completed graduation in one seating". Does this mean candidates with a year back in graduation won't be elligible or does this applies to even those candiates who had compartments during graduation that were cleared within the due minimum term/period of graduation (like 3years for Undergrauate prog., 4 years for BE, etc)?
I would be grateful if you could throw some light on this issue. Thanking you.

Hi,
It generally means that you should have completed your graduation at one go.. i.e without any gap of a year or half year...
I have seen people who leaves their graduation in between for e.g. after 2 yrs.. coz of one or the other reasons.. and after a gap of one year they again apply to university to continue .. and this generally happens that they start again from 3rd year studies ownwards.. I know such case.. This is most probably what they mean according to my knowledge..

urs problem is diff from the one Aryan have. i think most of the people drop one year after class 12th preparing for IITs :) the only thing is that be ready with a strong reason to support your cause.
