Well, with the lists of SIBM n SCHMRD coming, the hopes of people like me are going low day by day...............
SNAP: 72.75
X 77.5
XII 82
No Workex
Everybody was saying that cutoffs wil be low but reality says something else
i dun hv much hopes left by now.........
Applying weightages my score comes up to be 76.75 which is exactly the last years cutoff.
But i think that as per the scenario it should rise by 1 or 2 marks.............
Wat do u think guys?

After debacle in scm and sibm, did some analysis:
SIBM
last year SIBM's cutoff was 83.75
This year with 150 more seats and sectional cutoffs, the cutoff has risen to 85.
SIBM gave 950-1000 calls for 180 seats last year.
This year they might have given call to 1600-1800. So considering more seats and sectional cutoffs, ppl have performed well this time.
had there been no bangalore campus, cutoffs might have been 92-95.
SCMHRD
though SCMHRD gives profile based calls, 78-80+ was a most probable cutoff even for freshers. Work-ex ppl were given calls in the range 74-78.
very fey calls below 70.
This time, the cutoff has risen to 84-85+ for a most probable call and few calls in the range of 77-82.
SIIB
Last year, SIIB had a call at 76-77+ for freshers and 73-74+ for work ex engineers.
Going by the pattern, add 6-8 marks in the cutoff for SIIB considering easier SNAP this time as well as rising number of applications because of growing popularity and early placement results for 2006-08 batch.
My profile
X:80
XII:70
Engg: 78
Work ex of 30 months
snap score: 76.5
GA:15.25
VA:8.25
QA:25
AR:28
Adding
+3 (for engineering)
+2 (graduation score)
+2 (30 months workex)
=83.5
Its tuf time for all those pple like me, who are standing on the edge.
All the best

I think cut off after adding weightage wud be in the range of 80-82 for frshers and 76-79 for work ex engg. Another pt v need to look at is that number of applicants in siib wud be lower than that in sibm , and also the density of students with higher marks wud be also lower (i know many 85+ scorers who have nt applied to siib).
The problem while predictin sibm cut off was that v were comparing it with scmhrd though a lot of ppl applyin to sibm do not apply to scmhrd
Abt me:
My snap score is 84.5
After addin all the weightages it comes to 85.5 (shud have done engg)
neways just 4 days to go, lets hope for the best
hello,
can someone please tl the details from where i can look for the weightage give to the marks of ssc, hsc and graduation??:whatthat:
