hi puys ! I just left my job @ NTPC Ltd. as an Assistant Manager. I managed to score 97.97 % ile in CAT 2012. Landed up with calls from new iims - no converts so far.
I am in real trouble. I still can't figure out what i want to do with my life. At times, i think of trying to move in the financial services sector...prepare for CFA and all.
Then, I think of writing GMAT and applying to ISB. However, those thought are dimmed by the fact of having no job, hence no shot at interview.
Lastly, I think of applying for jobs at random.
I graduated from IIT Bombay with B.Tech in Civil Engineering. However, i have loathed civil engineering ever since the beginning and am not very keen on pursuing in this field.
I request you all to kindly provide me some advice as to what i should be doing. Thanks all for your help !

I have done B.Tech (mechanical) form a not so good college in 2011 (65%). Then i worked in a core company for a year and left it in July, 2012. It was a six day site job, I didn't like it and wanted to prepare for MBA.
Got 91.5 in CAT, 89.5 in XAT, 98.4 in SNAP and 98.8 in NMAT. Had a few calls but cudn't convert them except NM's Banking Management. Finally did not join it because of financial constraints and poor ROI.
Now, for the past two n a half months, i am searching for a job but no results (only BPO offers) Preparing for govt jobs, but that will take time and my idle time is increasing every day. What to do???

I want to open an Engineering Consultancy (Power Plant BOP to be specific). But the problem is that no one trusts a new consultancy for big projects and I don't have any idea how to know about small projects (20-100 MW) tenders. Also due to my age (22 years), people (those with decent experience in designing) feel very reluctant in supporting my dream. Can anyone suggest what to do? The MSME sector of GOI gives loan for starting a new company but if I don't know how to get informed about the tenders of small power plants in govt or private sector then I doubt about my success..... Please help me out!!!!
I am realy frustrated, deprssd n nt realy sure of what to do with my life. Here is the stry of my life. Did bcom(h) (>70%), mba in finance from tier 2 b-school(>60%)..gave a lot of interviews, but nothn really concreted. i knew i ws better than my classmates, but luck favored them, n i didnt get placed. I workd hard, harder than them, i know. Nywy, now m searchn jobs offcampus. It is very difficult. No offer rit now.
Thought that I would wrk in an ngo; no ngo kept me. Those ngo.s offern me a job were too far from my home, n my parnts didnt realy allow me dt. i am tired, n frustrated. I also cleared net jrf in dec. but no lecturer ship jobs. du's adhoc panel wudnt accept applications, unless i have my 4th sem results out..i thought of doin phd in finance, but that wud be again a regular course. But i wntd to wrk for a few yrs..
Wht shud i do now?
How shud i find jobs?
P.S. m nt willn to do cfa coz it'll require experience to complete it.

Since I am a 2012 batch pass-out, it's already been an year. I could not get any placement in IT company. After then I prepared for CAT 2012, scored a decent score but not good enough to get calls.Having said that I already have 1 year gap and CAT 2013 is near.So I want to get into job so that I can carry out my expenses as well as gain some work experience on CV.
I want to know the kind of jobs/profiles which will complement my post-mba job. Currently , I am having the offer of Technical Recruiter, content writer and business development executive. I am interested in MBA in Finance/operation. So considering that what would be right profile for me.
Seeking genuine suggestions/opinions from seniors, veterans, stalwarts. Please help me out. I am in dire need of it.

I'm a B.Com Graduate. I have a 4.5 years of exp in Financial Operations. I left my job in Dec 2012 to prepare for CFA Level 3 due to my unfavorable work timings. Unfortunately, I couldn't clear the exam. I plan to reappear for it next year in June. However, I'm also thinking of giving SNAP and CMAT a shot.
I'm currently looking for a job. In case I can't find one, and presuming that I go ahead with my plans of appearing for MBA entrance, how adversely would my work exp. gap impact my application. This also considering that I will be studying for both entrance and CFA Level 3 exam.
Any advice would be appreciated 😃

BSc- 74% passed out in 2009.thought of preaparing CAT n CET.
did part time diploma in HR from welingkars n screwed cat with 71%tile.again appeared same result.life changed and my family had to change my city- so final result i got depressed because of all failures and bad circumstances,now practically have no work exp since 3 yrs.
now i dont know what to do?MBA from a good college is a long lost dream.
thought of giving bank exams!
now should i work and simultaneously prepare for these bank exams or
shuld i join a coaching class prepare well and then join any job after few months i.e after exams?
if ans is work den where do i start?what kind of jobs shuld i look for?how do i justify my 3 yrs gap?i feel awful when i think of this.
and for bank,which coaching should i join po or clerk?wuld be appearing for all the bank exams in this yr? anyone knows a good bank coaching in pune ?

hello puys how u all doing i wont use the words biggest loser or sth for my self ,my story goes like this i am a BTECH graduate in IT 2012 passout ,oly one company came to our campus that was infosys com where my own bro works from last five years but i cudnt be even eligible becoz of criteria it was 65 n i was sitting on 64.5 ,during my college i was very much inclined towards public speaking,interaction,anchoring stuffs have always considered ma self an MBA guy ,thts why i joined a company AN MNC UK BASED that deals in direct sales and marketing ,have worked there for more than one year as a sales trainer ,still working but n notice period puys ma only prob is that its a performance based job commision based fuly though i have done well made close 2 -2.4 lac there but at times there are some financial setbacks when sales are not going well ,thta why i have decided to quit it and get into some fixed salary based job I have gud terms with my bosses peers everybody but after one year i want to grow myself financially also am i doing right leaving ma jobb i dont want to do MBA now but after 2-3 years ,can ma seniors suggest how can i capitalize on this exp and land up some gud job in any mnc waiting for ur replies plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz help me out in this dilemm

I am an Computer Engineer 2013 pass out.I got selected in a reputed company during campus placements and my joining is towards the end of this month.
Mean time in this 5 months from July-Nov I also prepared for CAT13 and other entrance exams.
Now my dilemma is whether to join the company now or take this year as drop (as I am also giving XAT,SNAP,CMAT) and continue my MBA preparations.
The problem with the company is the 2 years bond.And the bond amount is 2 lakhs.So I will have to wait for 2 years to do MBA as breaking the bond is not an option for me.
Please suggest what should I do,Take up the job and work for 2 years and then do MBA or continue with my MBA preparations and target MBA 2014-16 batch.
