thank you for your wise words and support brothers..!!! as for what dhiresh is saying...i think you have a point..i am as of now looking for jobs as well...have applied for a few and will be applying to others.. but just as i devoted time to preps am a bit rusty now from the technical point of view...being an IT engineer it has been long since i even opened my .Net Framework environment.. so i guess i will look into the options (not much but still some..).. i like your idea of being associated with a NGO... any specific domains you would like to recommend..???

Got through a moderately good B school with shitty sales placements all over and completed my MBA in 2011. I have been patiently waiting for off campuses for MBA anywhere in big cities and there has not been a single off campus so far. Nobody has been more patient than me during the last 6 months but now it seems to be going away. I never thought this 'delay' would happen again.
TCS f**ckers recruited 43,000 engineers for 2011-12 so far but not even a single MBA fresher. What the frig seriously with these IT companies? They are ready to accept Bio medical and even biology students for coding jobs but are not willing to accept MBA's with tech backgrounds for technical roles? I never thought MBA would sidetrack my engineering degree. I just don't know what to do and I just don't want to see myself in any kind of sales profile in any field.
Should I go for a testing certification or would an ERP program help in this situation? Please suggest me.

hie, i gave cat last year and i wasnt happy with the results at all.... so i decided to go in for it this year again and work as well. im sitting at home now idle and feeling simply awful about it . do younthink my idea of doing trying again for it is good? ill find a job ofcourse..

It's Finance. Yes I heard a little about Analytics and its career prospects but could you please PM me some info about it? I mean I just don't know where to begin with. What I know is I am really good at Analysis and attention to detail. I just can't see myself in any kind of target oriented Sales role even if it's in IT. Thanks for the reply.

one suggestion: if u r serious about writing, then i dont see a value addtion by doing an MBA..in fact u might be better off with a PG in mass comm/ media/ journalism. Secondly, if u indeed do an MBA, try goin to some better bschool than amity. u might go for MICA.. Disclaimer () : opinion abt college is entirely personal.
hi guys please help i have done b pharm 2008 batch,had 2 years work ex in marketing then left job for mba entrance preparation in feb 2011. my predicted score iift 27, snap 54, nmat 179 i am unable to find out reason for my failure & unable to find out that inspite covering all material from time class & for some topics from quantum cat by sarvesh kumar sharma,why my score was low now i am very depressed doesnt feel studying any more or sometimes feel that may be doing mba from good college is not my cup of tea & i am totally confused how to move ahead or wheather i should make a compromise &take; admission to any college or should i start searching my job again. my some friends are suggesting me to go for mh cet with full preparation but inside i am totally broken that after a gap of almost a year i am not able to reach anywhere sorry guys for such a long boring story to tell but kya karu i cant control myself from pleaseeeeeeeeeee help me

Buddies i have a query of my own. Here's my profile : 10th : 79.8% 12th : 57.6% B.tech : 66.4% (fresher) CAT 2011 : 92.5 %ile
As if it wasn't already difficult enough for a computer engg like me to make a switch to finance somebody advised me that it won't be ideal for me to choose finance in MBA as it'll pose massive problems (like not eligible for major financial companies/profiles) for me during placements owing to my dismal acads. For me finance has been the only choice as my MBA specialization since day 1 but of course i don't want myself to be rejected by my dream companies just cuz of my past. I realize that even if i work hard during my MBA i won't be eligible even if they put up a consistent 60% criteria. I have plans to start my CFA level 1 after an year to strengthen my profile. I want to take an informed decision as i'll be investing close to 10 lakhs and 2 years of my life. What do you suggest guys ?

Guys i am in an unique dilemma my cat score is not that great only 94%ile and i know i wont get into my dream colleges at this score so i have decided to go for it again in 2012 now i have cleared the written exam for a central govt job. Now lets say by gods grace i get selected in that and my joining date is in 2013 and i also get selected for the GD/PI process for a b school of repute and i tell them that i have a central govt job in hand and i was just waiting for it the whole time will it create a negative impression in other words can i convert my calls even i tell them that i wasnt doing something during the year. If someone can guide me on this will be obliged. Please guys many of you would have faced the same thing please advice on the course of action which you think would be best for me.

bro, in my opinion being honest is the key. the interview panels are way smarter than us nd if they get even a hint of ur being a liar, it wud cause ur rejection then and there itself. If i was in ur place, i wud rather explain my gap than lie...personal opinion, though.
