A TRUE STORY

My Sister was just talking to her friend who works for Customs. He has made money like others in his job (nothing wrong in that way), but yesterday a colleague of his got caught by the ACB (Anti Corruption Bureau). He is quite fearful now. He got married 5 months ago to a beautiful girl on the condition that she will not work since he is making enough money. Now he is scared at the thought of losing his job or going to jail and seeing her wife left alone with lost respect in society.

This resonates with other people's views about rising anti-corruption drives in jobs these days. People at all levels are being caught red handed and being suspended. But it doesn't just stop there. The level of work load in SSC jobs is simply too high to justify the effort. If all you need is a peaceful life, free from unwanted incentives ( like the ones in Private Sector/ corruption money) then better join non SSC jobs.

But, there are quite less jobs in public domain. PO jobs are simply like private jobs with no incentives (worse than SSC). SSC jobs are like private jobs (too much pressure, lot of corruption money adding to further pressure). In this case I think the best job, as a friend's father who is in CAG, suggests is RBI Grade 'B'. Other good jobs are SEBI Gr 'A', SIDBI Gr 'A', NABARD Gr 'A', since these are non public dealing, jobs, where the incentives to make money are scarce to talk the most; work life balance is tilted heavily towards life, colleagues are highly educated and respected, work environment is amazing. The only problem is that these organizations don't hire many candidates.

In conclusion I feel that there is no best job profile in SSC, it is a matter of choice. Some prefer home location, some prefer money, some prefer further studies and so on. But it seems the choice of making money is losing its strength fast.

Anyone here from ssc NWR region ?

1l) whaT about docs verification? On interview day ?

2) DEST/CPT ?

Best of luck to guys appearing in interview today. Share yr experience/ views after the interview

Donot prefer a job based on extra earning potential because the extra money does not give you peace. Further you are always on the toes for making adjustment in life to earn extra money. There are chances of loosing the job & prestige. The Govt gives enough money as salary to lead a respectful and satisfied life.
