I was going through all the posts and I realised that most of us are confused about various SSC posts, the profile offered, how to decide the preferences etc etc.
Plus, I could not find any source which gives complete overall picture about all 29 posts offered in CGL 2014. (Mrunal.org is the best I could find)
So, I have created an spreadsheet/excel which aims to maintain tabulated comparison of all the posts...

income tax officer group C ki post hai. it sounds a level less than group B posts. fir iski cutoff itni high kyu jati hai. group B ki posts log baad mein kyu bharte hai?
Well, after reading the notification and checking out profiles of all the jobs, i decided to fill my preference as below, i have registered but not made the payment yet, so i guess if i need to change then i can register again. I took help from mrunal.org and also from wikipedia, i decided to prefer desk jobs 😃 , however since i am filling the form first time, i need some advice, should i change any preference or is it alright, if anyone wanna give advice, he/she is most welcome👼 .

Hi guys I have a couple of queries, any help would be highly appreciated
I wear glasses . Will this be a problem for any of the posts . For CBI sub-inspector it was mentioned that eyesight in both eyes should be 6/9 and 9/9 . or something like that . I have no idea what that means . Are there any posts which I should not apply due to the fact that I wear glasses ? .
Also how tough is the CPT test for assistant (CSS) . Is it just like a formality test where almost everyone who can type a bit and has used MS office in the past would most probably pass or is there a fairly high chance of failing ?
