CHSL Descriptive test: Structure of An Essay
I am sorry for the delay guys; here is the Article number 5...In continuation with Article 4
Now, let’s step into important tips that are to be followed to present a neat and précised essay writing. As it’s a pen and paper test, what is the most important factor of all? Of course, your Hand Writing. And what is the next factor to score well in this round? Of course, your nature (Attitude, behavior, pleasing manner...Etc.,). Yes, don’t get surprised!!!…The main objective of conducting this pen-paper round is to evaluate writing skills of the candidate as well as the nature of the person from the points he/she mentions in the article and the way he/she presents on Paper.
As we all know…an essay can’t be written just like that!!! Of course yes, there is a certain structure to be followed. We all know that, the word limit given for writing an essay is 200 to 250 words. So, you are required to make sure that words should not exceed 260 words at all for an essay.
Now let’s come to the main point…How to write an essay? How can we manage to fit all the important points in those 250 words in a precise manner? Unless we attempt an essay in a unique way, we cannot score decent marks in descriptive round right!!!
Let’s divide essay to be written into parts, so that it’ll be easy for us to draw the points in the concerned parts without forgetting or missing any important idea.
Total Number of words for Essay – 200 to 250 words (In least case up to 260 words)
Essay generally must consist of 3 major parts, they are
1) Introduction (1 paragraph) – About 40 words
2) Body of an Essay – About 160 words
(Again this body consists of 3 to 5 paragraphs…according to me 3 paragraphs in body alone is enough)
3) Conclusion (1 paragraph) – About 50 words
Note: Totally how many paragraphs can an essay be? It’s about 5 to 6
I request you notice this point that, you should not mention “Introduction”, Body of an essay, conclusion…like this in any part of the essay. I am just dividing and naming the names, so that you will understand what to write and in which part to write. That’s it….We shouldn’t mention anywhere that it’s this part..It’s that part…Examiner himself understands that …Oh…this is an introduction part…this is a body of the paragraph…like that..From the wording that you mention in the concerned paragraphs. Now, we all came to know the structure of essay and the division of words..Etc.,
