Koi is pakode ko yha se nikalo..
when obc and ur category have nearly same cut off marks ,then obc cannot occupy the ur seats as per supreme court.This has already applicale to many exam like SBI PO.
in case of SA imd exam the last candidates who got state preference has sl no.
1050 having mark 134.5
for obc it is 1170 sl no having mark 132.5
obc and ur cutoff are nearly eqal. so NO obc candidates will occupy the ur seats.
and imd has followed the reservation rule for each category. so who got state preference ,confirm their final selection if their documents are correct.
if these rule WILL not apply in imd then out of 520 seats only 270 general will got seats while 220 will be taken by obc from ur and rest 30 sc/st. so obc candidates will get 302(from obc quota)+220(from ur)=522 out of 1102. general candidates only 270 .so it is quite unfair to give nearly than 50% seats (out of 1102) to obc as general population also high in india. so imd has follow the new reservation rule which will be switable to all category and has given preference to merit.from RTI also,it confirm the Dv list is also merit wise. so those obc who has less mark and hope to occupy the vacancy , they should concentrate other exams. best of luck all selected students and congratulation for their hard work and patience.
imd had made some plan and alloted the state to every category merit wise. other wise each and every one had got state preference, atleast all reserved categeory.imd also had very cautious about the state allocation,who would get ,who wouldnot. so there is no question about state allocation. it is according to law and govt. reservation rule.
