Ok... you mean to say tapmi has considered email replies of the selected candidates. Those who did not reply have been considered the ones not joining.. Hmm.. I never thought this email reply was so crucial... I thought its just formality... Hush hush hush PUY sleepin.... :)
For the 1st group of students.....10th may was the day to remit 100000 Rs, so w/l movement was done based on it.
Seniors, when can we expect the next movement in the Waiting List (if any)? As is evident from the posts, more and more people are taking up TAPMI, so not much to hope for for the remaining Wait Listed students! :(
The recently selected candidates would get their result where the last date would be mentioned and after that date w/l movement would happen.
I unable to figure out why TAPMI not giving the rank of the people in waiting, life would be much easier for, they can do future planning in better way.
Also , are they(TAPMI) not going to start new courses if they don't get approval for AICTE, if not then it is ok. But if they are going to start anyway then why they are not disclosing the result.:banghead:
I need a clarification. If we submit the first installment now, but later due to some un-avoidable circumstances, decide not to join the college this year, how much amount will be deducted before the refund? Is it based on AICTE rule? Where can we find the AICTE rules regarding the same?
Any information about the same will be appreciated. 😃

For our batch (2009-11) it was Rs. 20000 deduction till classes start.
For your batch it should be mentioned in your offer letter. If not call up admissions.
Please find the scanned copy of the refund rules we had received on 2nd May. I guess the applicable dates for you ppl will be mentioned in ur hard copy which you will receive soon...
does anyoe have an idea on weather they will be giving out waitlist no.s? and weather the result of other courses be announced on a reasonable date frm now?
jst nw calld admn ofc... some sir told.. on 28th they ll tell about the next waiting list.. n by tht time they ll finalise the rest of the 240 seats... hope it helps... so all waitlisters like me... we jst hav to wait wait n wait
There was an earlier post where someone had asked about the 172 students in 2008-10 batch and it was told that TAPMI was trying out this arrangement to see if the intake could be increased on a permanent basis.
I wanted to know, if the 52 students above the approved 120 were given their diplomas from TAPMI or was it from Manipal Univ. Would the same be followed for the 2010-12 batch if AICTE approval does not come through on time for the additional 60 seats.

Thanks
This is what the Dean told me during my director interview:
120 seats PGDM,AICTE approved
60 seats waiting for approval.
In case we(TAPMI) does not get an approval for these 60 seats then they would offer an MBA from Manipal university. So the situation boils down to 120 guys wud be awarded PGDM and the rest 60 guys MBA from Manipal University. He also mentioned that rest all things like course, placements wud be same for both 120 and 60 seats.

Hope this info clarifies ur doubt
now, how would the selected candidates know which section they are in..120 or 60.
Will that be specifically mentioned in the offer letter?

Called the admission office just now...the follwing are the dates for payment of first installment for the guys who converted yesterday(11May)
1 lakh--21 May
2,10,000-- 27 May
they will not be sending any emails ,u need to send and confirm.Incase u fear for postal delays then send them a scanned copy so even if there is apostal delay they will consider ur case.
As far as waitlist movement is concerned i guess it shud move after 21st May( since the same happened in our case,10 May last date for 1lakh payment for guys who got selected on 1st May).
they have given offer for only 120 students aparna....
I am one among those 120 but in my letter nowhere it is mentioned that the program is AICTE approved. Infact AICTE work is not present in the whole letter. Anyways I would be joining but it would be better if some updates are provided to us at this crucial time. Dont know whats going on ...........

Correct right now they have given calls for 120 seats only.
They said they will inform ppl in case they do not approval...so i guess after some time the situation will become clear when the results for other courses(BFS etc) are declared since these courses are also awaiting AICTE approval
