One thing I wanna tell is that when I called the admissions office they didnt even know that the results were skewed ..I told them that for any damn number or special character the result is "waitlisted" and then they said they will contact the IT dept and after a while that was sorted out ..from then on people got some rejects...so assuming the admin office would know everything might not be correct...anyways hope all ends well
i feel thay have waitlisted a lot of students..and hence the haigh ratio of wl to converts..the result seems genuine because it has all the correct info...except 1....that i m waitlisted

i checked all form nos. From 03001 to 03100 i got i selected person & 10 wait-listed lets estimate 10 people are wait-listed for every 100 then according to me about 600 people are wait-listed (because the only person who has posted his form no. Was about 6000) if there were more forms sold ( i believe the answer is yes) then wait list may extend to 800.

one more thing this year upatke is not going to be 120 like last year with 3 new courses & 60 more seats in pgdm waitlist had to be long
also they must have wanted to avoid the situation of last year where they had to come up with 3 waiting lists

just a thought... i read some place that arnd 3000 were given calls for gd/pi..at best only 60% showed up(it was just below 50 in Mumbai for my group on 16th afternoon) so thats 1800..now out of that they need 360 so putting 600-800 on the waitlist doesnt seem like a bad idea.. also they mite be going thru our choices about the new courses and doing some calculation and out of this 600 they mite offer the other courses as well...mite be thats y they wld need an extra 10 days
I can very well understand the anxiety, but there is nothing much one can do. Just wait for some days before you get your waitlist No from the admission dept. There is no point in speculating the number of shortlisted/waitlisted candidates. In case we get to know anything substantial.. will post it here... Sorry guys thats the best we can do
As far as I know around 2000 calls were given this time. Out of which 20% were absent so around 1600 people appeared for GD/PI. Considering this start the calculation.
The very deciding factor for this year's admissions is the wait list movement of other colleges.
When we had our gd/pi results of NMIMS, K J Somaiya, Nirma were not declared. So if those people are who r thru these colleges may not take admission here (possibility).
Also recently results of all the above colleges + IMT-G, NITIE, SP Jain, IMI, MDI, some IIMs + some more are declared. Also they have their own waitlist movement and if these are the people who had tapmi as their back up and are selected then they might not take admission here (my guess).

Hey dude now that you have recovered the file, have you altered the access for that spread sheet? I mean have you kept that limited to you only? coz its denying access to me.
The results page shows that these results are only for PGDM and the list for other courses at TAPMI will be declared later. Considering that I do not feel that the wait list will be having 1000 students as some people have pointed out. It should be much less than that. Again this is just my view and may not hold true.
Also, I was surfing the other threads of TAPMI and found out that a total of 2334 students were sent calls for GDPI. Considering that 50% of them attended (atleast in my batch there were less than 50% present) even then that gives around 1200 students who came for GDPIs. So in essence the ratio comes to around 1 in 4 students will get confirmed admission.

Including you there are now a total of 3 puys who are surely not joining as per the sheet. Some more oxygen for us waitlisters!!
