In my opinion, it all comes down to the number of people who've been named in the waiting list (which looks decently high right now).
Also, I went thru many Pagalguy forums and saw that almost all IIMs have declared their final lists well after 24th April, which is AFTER our TAPMI GD-PI.
So, not all is lost. The number of guys who had kept TAPMI as the fallback option should be high, atleast the guys who had calls from other Top 15 B-Schools.
Gotta keep your fingers crossed! Best of luck to all!!

Well puys this years senario is different than the previous years ,so all the waitlisted getting admission letter is difficult atleast for pgdm course.
One more thing, most of the waitlisted are freshers in 86 to 90 percentile range.
Since tapmi interview was the last to be held ,most of the desperate people have participated and if they get selected than they are not going to vacant there seat.

I think i am going to get groans for writing these observations ,but i couldn't stop myself from unloading these thoughts as i am also one of the waitlisted guy.

TAPMI may have been the last ones to hold their GD-PIs, but they did so before any major institute announced their results.
So, the number of guys not joining can still be high.
That's my logic! May or may not be true!

its only 91.33. with verbal 60.63 n interviewers told me my verbal score was too low n i was lucky to get a call.

hey pal all the people who i met in bangalore like 20 of em had a percentile of around 93 +. i myself have a 97. So u cant really say that is the case.

Hi, Bharat.
Does TAPMI declare the criteria for selecting the students? In my Director Interview, the Director had told me that they will be putting up the criteria after the results have been announced.

I can very well understand the anxiety, but there is nothing much one can do. Just wait for some days before you get your waitlist No from the admission dept. There is no point in speculating the number of shortlisted/waitlisted candidates. In case we get to know anything substantial.. will post it here... Sorry guys thats the best we can do

Does it really matter, Saket? All they need is people who are effective in communicating in English. And scoring high in the Quant section definitely is not a parameter for final selection. Maybe that's the reason they had Extempore this time around and not GDs! :grin:
Besides, they shouldn't quite be commenting on sectionals since they themselves don't follow the sectional cut-offs!!

I had scored only 66% in VA and I hav converted..so to say they giv importance to VA alone is wrong...it depends on the overall performance

Awesomeness of PI can't be measured on face. There are Interviews when you think that just because the professor is smiling or agreeing he will take me in and there are interviews where the professors are grudging hence he will not take me. Both can be false, in top of this, pi is just another part of your application.



I also know my dear friend that pi is just another part of your application,but with an OA score of 99.72(lowest sectional-93.0 and a good PI I think anybody in my place would have expected a convert..Thats what my point is.

Its wriiten that "Kindly respond over e-mail to confirm acceptance/rejection of our offer".

So do we need to send them seperate mail stating our acceptance or we would recieve a seperate mail from the admission office to which we need to reply back as we got for gd-pi.

One more question here rather two--

--Did anyone recieve emails from admission office? I didnt receive any....

--And there are speculations that these are just test results and we will get actual results by Monday, so how far is this info correct?

Yesterday night I was in w/l.Today afternoon I got regret message and now I am getting :
Congratulations on being selected for the PGDM programme of 2010-2012.
